  • Publication number: 20240099155
Abstract: A memory includes: a magnet including a first and second portions adjacent in a first direction. The first portion has a first dimension in a second direction at a first position at which a dimension of the magnet in the second direction is maximum, the second direction perpendicular to the first direction, the second portion has a second dimension in the second direction at a second position at which a dimension of the magnet in the second direction is minimum, the second dimension smaller than the first dimension, the first portion is continuous to the second portion via a third position between the first and second positions, a curve corresponding to an outer of the magnet extends between the first and third positions, and the curve passes through a side closer to the central axis of the magnet than a straight line connecting the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 5058553
Abstract: A variable-discharge high pressure pump for pressure-feeding fuel to a common rail for use in a diesel engine. The pump has a plunger, a plunger chamber, a cam for reciprocatively moving the plunger; and opening-out type electromagnetic valve capable of opening and closing one end of the plunger chamber, a fuel reservoir, a check valve communicating with the plunger chamber, and an inlet pipe for supplying fuel to the fuel reservoir. Both the introduction of the fuel into the plunger chamber and the return of the fuel from the plunger chamber to the fuel reservoir are effected through the electromagnetic valve.

  • Patent number: 4716473
Abstract: An apparatus for modifying the playing time of a program including a signal converter (1) for converting a signal (S.sub.1) corresponding to the difference between the time content and the desired playing time of a program to a tape-speed-varying signal (.DELTA.T.sub.D) and a reference-signal-varying signal (.DELTA.T.sub.p). The tape-speed-varying signal controls a delay (5) of a detected capstan signal (T.sub.D). The delayed and nondelayed capstan signal are phase compared (4) to produce a speed control voltage. The tape-speed-varying signal varies the frequency of the capstan reference signal (T.sub.P) in a reference signal generator (2). The capstan reference signal is then phase compared (3) with a signal regenerated from the control track of the tape to produce a phase control voltage. An adder (6) adds the speed and phase control voltages to produce a signal to drive the capstan motor.

  • Patent number: 4663679
Abstract: A tape address synchronizing apparatus for synchronizing the tape position of a video tape recorder to another tape recorder or to a reference has a tape address generating circuit, a reference address generating circuit, comparators for comparing the tape addresses to the reference addresses, a circuit for generating an acceleration signal or a deceleration signal and a capstan servo circuit controlling a motor which in turn controls the speed of the magnetic tape in the tape recorder which is to be synchronized. When the tape addresses match the reference addresses, the phases of a reference signal used for generating the reference addresses and the phase of a CTL signal recorded on the magnetic tape are compared to one another to further synchronize the phases of the signals to one another.

  • Patent number: 4381089
Abstract: A wound-tape radius detecting system for use in reel to reel audio and video tape decks includes first and second photoelectric devices which act as supply or take-up reel and tape transport tachometers, resepctively. The ratio of the pulses outputs of the two photoelectric devices are indicative of the amount, or radius, of tape on the supply or take-up reel, which information can be used to control the braking torque applied to the reels when the tape deck is stopped, or the reel motor torque at the start of transport.
