The hollow pillar includes a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion opposite to each other. The hollow pillar has an inserting hole. The inserting hole passes through the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion. The first engaging portion is disposed through the through hole. The bolt is inserted into the inserting hole and is movable between a first inserting position and a second inserting position. When the bolt is moved to the second inserting position along a direction from the first engaging portion pointing to the second engaging portion, the second engaging portion is expanded by the bolt to make the size of the second engaging portion become larger.

    Abstract: A clip board has an integrally formed elongated clip mounting member which has a groove means extending longitudinally therein. A U-shaped plate insert means is inserted in the groove means and opened upward. A bent rod has an engaging portion to engage with the board, two bent arm portions on two sides of the engaging portion, and two opposing end portions extending inwardly from the arm portions. The opposing end portions are received in the groove means with two coil springs respectively provided thereon. The coil springs have engaging portions which threads through the board and is bent to be engaged with the bottom side of the board. The upward extending portions of the insert means confines a channel above the coil springs to clamp therebetween releaseably a pen or the like.

No. 4,628,572, the invention provided a renovated structure for a kind of hinge-typed clipboard which can also equally avoid to use rivets in assembly work. Its elements consist of a board, a supporting base, a clamping element, a torsional spring and a pivotal axle. The distinctive features are that the supporting base is made of metal plate with both sides bent upward and ends rolled up into tube shape. On the board, two transverse groove slots are provided to allow the tube-shaped element of supporting base penetrating through upward from the bottom of the board for combination with clamping element, spring and pivotal axle into an integral clipboard.

    Abstract: An improved clip for clamping papers has a pair of generally T-shaped clamping members each having a clamping portion and two lugs, a pivot pin for interconnecting pivotally the lugs of the clamping members, and a torsion spring mounted on the pivot pin for biasing the clamping portions of the clamping members to abut against each other. The improvement wherein an end of the pivot pin has two axially spaced annular flanges between which the pivot pin passes through a lug of a clamping member and a lug of the other clamping member. The pair of lugs disposed between the flanges are biased by the torsion spring to move in opposite directions and in turn to clamp tightly the pivot pin between the flanges, thereby preventing one of the flanges from outward movement by the obstructing action of the lugs between the flanges.
