  • Patent number: 6980449
Abstract: A voltage detecting circuit including an impedance converter, an energy storage element, a current source and a comparing circuit is disclosed. The impedance converter is used for converting a high impedance voltage signal into a low impedance voltage signal. The energy storage element is electrically connected to the impedance converter, and receives the low impedance voltage signal. The current source is electrically connected to the energy storage element, and provides a discharging path of the energy storage element. The comparing circuit is electrically connected to the current source, and receives a voltage signal from the energy storage element. The voltage signal is compared with a predetermined reference voltage value stored in the comparing circuit so as to dynamically control operation of the power converter according to the comparing result.

  • Publication number: 20050248968
Abstract: A voltage adapter characterized by an advantage of reducing unnecessary power loss induced in standby mode operation and conserving the overall power consumption accordingly. The voltage adapter according to the present invention receives an input voltage and converts the input voltage into an output voltage having a voltage level different from the input voltage, and comprises an EMI filter for suppressing a differential mode noise in the input voltage, a bridge rectifier for performing a full-wave rectification to the input voltage, a transistor switch, a driver for controlling on/off operations of the transistor switch according to a feedback amount derived from the output voltage, and a circuit box for providing a discharge path for the EMI filter, while sampling the input voltage to detect a variation of the input voltage.

  • Publication number: 20050207183
Abstract: A current detecting circuit for use in a power converter having a control circuit, a switching circuit, a transformer and an energy storage element is disclosed. The current detecting circuit comprises a filter, a rectifier and a differentiator. The filter is electrically connected to the energy storage element for receiving a voltage signal from the energy storage element and filtering the voltage signal to obtain an alternating voltage change value. The rectifier is electrically connected to the filter for rectifying the alternating voltage change value to obtain a half-sine wave voltage change value. The differentiator is electrically connected to the rectifier and the control circuit for performing a differential operation on the half-sine wave voltage change value to obtain a current change value of the energy storage element.

  • Publication number: 20050140485
Abstract: A transformer structure is proposed herein which includes a primary winding coil, a secondary winding coil, a bobbin module, and a magnetic core assembly. The magnetic core assembly is mounted within the bobbin module. The bobbin module includes a first winding window portion and a second winding window portion in which the first winding window portion allows the primary winding coil to be wound thereupon and the second winding window portion allows the secondary winding coil to be wound thereupon. Both of first winding window portion and the second winding window portion include a first lateral plate, and each couples or separate with each other by the first lateral plate, such that the primary winding coil and the secondary winding coil are separated with each other and the leakage inductance, and the safe distance of electrical security for the transformer is increased accordingly.
