  • Publication number: 20240096630
Abstract: Disclosed is a semiconductor fabrication method. The method includes forming a gate stack in an area previously occupied by a dummy gate structure; forming a first metal cap layer over the gate stack; forming a first dielectric cap layer over the first metal cap layer; selectively removing a portion of the gate stack and the first metal cap layer while leaving a sidewall portion of the first metal cap layer that extends along a sidewall of the first dielectric cap layer; forming a second metal cap layer over the gate stack and the first metal cap layer wherein a sidewall portion of the second metal cap layer extends further along a sidewall of the first dielectric cap layer; forming a second dielectric cap layer over the second metal cap layer; and flattening a top layer of the first dielectric cap layer and the second dielectric cap layer using planarization operations.

  • Publication number: 20240072170
Abstract: A semiconductor device is disclosed. The semiconductor device includes a semiconductor fin. The semiconductor device includes first spacers over the semiconductor fin. The semiconductor device includes a metal gate structure, over the semiconductor fin, that is sandwiched at least by the first spacers. The semiconductor device includes a gate electrode contacting the metal gate structure. An interface between the metal gate structure and the gate electrode has its side portions extending toward the semiconductor fin with a first distance and a central portion extending toward the semiconductor fin with a second distance, the first distance being substantially less than the second distance.

  • Patent number: 7898703
Abstract: A scanning apparatus includes a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL), a heating light source, a timer, a photosensor for detecting light that is emitted from the CCFL and the heating light source, and a controller for controlling operations of the scanning device. The warm-up time period of the CCFL exceeds that of the heating light source. After activation, the heating light source is capable of generating more heat than the CCFL, which induces more rapid heating of the CCFL. When the time period counted by the timer reaches a predetermined time, the controller turns off the heating light source and performs scanning using only the cold cathode fluorescent lamp.

  • Patent number: 7751096
Abstract: A scanning device includes a housing, a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL), and a light emitting diode (LED), a photosensor for detecting light that is emitted from the CCFL and the LED and then by way of a document, and a control circuit for controlling operations of the scanning device. The LED can be used to perform scans while the CCFL is heating.

  • Publication number: 20060236617
Abstract: A latticed net stretching and fixing structure includes at least one fixing element fixedly mounted onto a vertical wall surface of a precast wall panel and having at least one horizontal section; at least one latticed net having a plurality of arrayed meshes and a winding section provided at one end thereof for winding around the horizontal section of the fixing element to overlap the latticed net, with the meshes on the winding section aligned with the meshed on the latticed net; and at least one transverse bar for weaving through the aligned meshes on the overlapped winding section and latticed net to thereby fix the latticed net to the fixing element, allowing the latticed net to be stretched and pulled in a direction opposite to the precast wall panel without separating from the fixing element.

  • Publication number: 20020172557
Abstract: A geopipe with partial perforated structure is disclosed. The geopipe includes a water permeable portion with a plurality of perforated through holes arranged on an upper arc surface of the geopipe for permitting liquid outside the geopipe permeating into the geopipe through the perforated through holes. A water draining portion formed on a lower arc surface from the first end through the second end of the geopipe for draining the water permeated from the perforated through holes of the water permeable portion of the geopipe. The geopipe is further covered with a net layer, or a reinforced layer thereon.
