  • Patent number: 11150162
Abstract: An HVAC system includes a blower. The blower includes a driven pulley and a motor with a driver pulley. A motor drive supplies electrical power to the motor. A controller receives a benchmark rate of the flow of air provided by the blower and a corresponding benchmark output current of the motor drive associated with operation of the blower at a test condition. A benchmark input power corresponding to the benchmark output current is determined based on a predetermined relationship between input power and output current for the motor drive. A ratio of the benchmark rate of the flow of air provided by the blower to the benchmark input power is determined. The controller determines a pulley ratio for the blower based on this ratio. The pulley ratio corresponds to the ratio of a diameter of the driven pulley to a diameter of the driver pulley of the blower.

  • Patent number: 8272250
Abstract: An effective sensor for indicating exposure to a toxic gas includes a non-conductive, inert substrate such as glass or polyethylene, a two-dimensional film of nanoparticles of a conductive metal such as silver or copper on the substrate and an electrode connected to each end of the film. When an electrical current passes through the film and the sensor is exposed to a toxic gas, changes in the electrical resistance of the film provides an indication of the presence of the toxic gas.

  • Publication number: 20070284378
Abstract: The present invention discloses a refrigerated container with an anti-collision plate. The refrigerated container comprises a side wall having an inner side plate and an outer side plate. The anti-collision plate is arranged at a lower portion of a surface of the inner side plate facing the outer side plate. The anti-collision plate is formed with depressed portions and protruded portions at its upper edge. The depressed portions and the protruded portions may be in shape of rectangle, triangle, trapezoid or wave. By arranging depressed portions and protruded portions at the upper edge of the anti-collision plate, the conventional linear type abrupt change of cross-section of the inner side plate at the upper edge of the anti-collision plate becomes a curvilinear type abrupt change of cross-section, and thus the extent of concentration of stress of the inner side plate at the abrupt change of cross-section is significantly lowered.

  • Publication number: 20070261424
Abstract: A cooling device and a controlling method thereof for a reefer container are disclosed. The cooling device has a controlling circuit comprising a controller; a compressor relay, a condenser fan relay and an evaporator fan relay connected in parallel; a pressure switch connected to the compressor relay in series; and a pressure sensing and controlling device for controlling the pressure switch to turn on or off. The pressure sensing and controlling device controls the pressure switch to turn off when air pressure inside container drops to a preset pressure, and controls the pressure switch to turn on when air pressure inside container rises higher than the preset pressure. The controlling method comprises steps of detecting and controlling air pressure inside container. The invention can be implemented in a simple structure and at a low cost, as only a few of electric elements are added to conventional controlling circuits.
