  • Patent number: 11915012
Abstract: A method includes, in a processor (44) of a user device (24), preloading one or more user applications (26) in a background mode, in which activities associated with preloaded user applications are hidden from a user of the user device. An activity, which is invoked in the processor and is associated with a given preloaded user application, is detected. An assessment is made by the processor, whether the activity is a preload-initiated activity that is invoked due to preloading of the given user application, or whether the activity is a user-initiated activity that is invoked due to an action by the user. If the activity is assessed to be a preload-initiated activity, the activity is handled using a first handling scheme. If the activity is assessed to be a user-initiated activity, the activity is handled using a second handling scheme, different from the first handling scheme.

  • Publication number: 20090294704
Abstract: A system and method for millimeter wave imaging, comprises at least one illumination source (10) of a millimeter wave beam; a diffuser array (12) comprising a plurality of diffuser elements (12) for diffusing the beam from the illumination source (12) across the desired sector; and at least one camera (16) for obtaining an image of one or more illuminated subjects within the desired sector.

  • Patent number: 6728645
Abstract: A method and system for automatic recognition and classification of a vibrating target among members of a plurality of objects having their vibration spectra stored in a database. In deciding as to which member of an alleged couple of vibrating objects the target should be assigned, the method uses an algorithm of signal processing which is based on wavelet packet analysis to predict a-priory a bandwidth in which the differences between the vibration of the spectrum is mostly pronounced, and the resolution within the bandwidth which is adequate to enable the decision.

  • Patent number: 6309070
Abstract: An integrated ophthalmic illumination method and system having two integrated light sources, a lamp and an infra-red (IR) diode laser. The lamp light source may be used to produce either monochromatic or color images, as necessary, at high resolution. In a preferred embodiment, color images are provided using an RGBT (red-green-blue-transparent) filter wheel. The filter wheel is divided into four sections or arc sections around the periphery of the wheel. Three of the four partitioned sections are larger and equal sections that comprise the three optical R, G and B filter sections. The fourth section is a transparent, or empty, narrow section that is used for transferring the full original content of the white beam when a monochromatic or chromatic image is desired. The RGBT wheel rotates at a speed of one third of the frame rate of a CCD camera, producing a sequence of definite R, G and B spectral light bursts.

  • Patent number: 5802335
Abstract: A FLIR staring array detector system for imaging an object scene using catadioptric optics has a cold shield efficiency approaching unity. The system provides a full format image of the object scene. The catadioptric optics include reflective objective optics for providing an intermediate image of the object scene and refractive relay optics for providing the full format image. The system further includes a staring detector for receiving the full format image.
