Abstract: Provided a proof of play (PoP) method of a digital signage terminal and a digital signage server, the PoP method of the digital signage terminal including obtaining a digital signature and a PoP message generation policy provided by a content owner, generating log data comprising information on a play of at least one piece of content, based on the PoP message generation policy, generating a PoP message using information on the digital signature based on the generated log data, and providing the PoP message to at least one of the digital signage server and the content owner.

Accordingly, relayed multicast service can be provided for each session by setting session-related parameters for each session in a relayed multicast network and transmitting them to a multicast agent.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the SON service providing apparatus is entrusted with element services from an element service provider, sells the entrusted element services to a composite service developer so as to enable the composite service developer to use the element services. Abstract: A method of providing timing information for synchronizing packet streams delivered from a first server and a second server, respectively, that are different from each other under hybrid delivery service environment is provided. The first server delivers a first media object and the second server delivers a second media object. The timing information for synchronizing a second packet including the second media object and a first packet including the first media object is generated in the second server. The timing information and the second packet including the second media object are provided from the second server to the client.

Abstract: The present invention relates to use of a circular buffer used by a peer in a multimedia streaming service based on peer-to-peer (P2P), and an operating method thereof. A circular buffer of the present invention may include a buffering section to process a delayed data fragment transmission request from at least one peer present in a network according to a playback of a multimedia content, a storing section to store data to be provided to the at least one peer, a continuous storing section in which data fragments for the playback of the multimedia content are stored in serial order, and a discontinuous storing section in which a space for a received data fragment to be shared with the at least one peer is reserved and a space for a data fragment to be received is reserved.

Abstract: In an apparatus for countering IP multimedia spam, a transmitter receives an IP application, and blocks the IP application when the IP application is determined as spam. A spam identifier receives the IP application from the transmitter, and analyzes at least one of a content of the IP application and a protocol of the IP application. A controller controls the spam identifier based on a setting for anti-spam, and determines whether the IP application is spam or not based on the analyzing result for the IP application of the spam identifier and transmits the determining result to the transmitter.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for receiving a multimedia content between peers on a peer-to-peer network, including: establishing a neighbor connection relationship which is a relationship to interactively transmit and receive the multimedia content, with the other peer on the peer-to-peer network; establishing a donator connection relationship to receive the multimedia content from the other peer, based on a donator approval request message transmitted to the other peer; receiving a multimedia content piece related message from the other peer based on the established donator connection relationship; and receiving a required multimedia content piece from the other peer according to a result of parsing the multimedia content piece related message.

Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile Internet protocol television (IPTV) system providing a supplementary service added to a broadcasting service. The mobile IPTV system includes a service guide server providing programming information of an additional service, a media server providing streaming of contents for a supplementary service, a supplementary service server providing control for the supplementary service, and a mobile IPTV management server performing user authentication for the supplementary service. In this case, the mobile IPTV management server, the media server, the service guide server and the supplementary service server are connected to each other via a dedicated wireless IP network.

Abstract: Provided is a method in which a tracker configures a notification condition on the basis of an authorization policy predetermined by a trackee so that a location information server provides a customized location tracking service according to the notification condition. The method includes: (a) registering an authorization policy of a trackee in order to determine whether a location tracking service requested by a tracker will be accepted; (b) configuring a customized location information notification condition by a tracker; (c) requesting the customized location tracking service by the tracker; and (d) providing the customized location tracking service by a location information server on the basis of the configured authorization policy and the customized location information notification condition.

Abstract: A wireless multicasting service method using a relayed transmission scheme is provided. In the wireless multicasting service method, a mobile node moves from a first wireless network to a second wireless network. Then, the mobile node performs a new joining request to a mobile multicast agent managing a multicasting service in the second wireless network. If the mobile node receives a joining approval for the new joining request, the mobile node performs a secession request to a previous mobile multicast agent managing a multicasting service in the first wireless network.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a conference service using a network service based on user terminal capabilities are provided. In the method, it is determined to perform media conversion required for media transfer corresponding to the capabilities of the user terminal in response to a conference service join request, and a transcoding service location of a network device supporting the media conversion is searched over the Internet. Then, a connection is made to the transcoding service location to perform the media conversion, and the converted media is delivered to the user terminal.

A system for providing Internet service using heterogeneous digital terminals includes a terminal registration/unregistration unit for registering and unregistering information on the digital terminals in and from an Internet service provider (ISP) server, a service management protocol unit for requesting the service from the ISP server, a terminal selection/change unit for selecting one of the registered digital terminals to use the service and reporting the selection to the ISP server, a content transmission/reception unit for receiving content service corresponding to the service request from the ISP server via the selected digital terminal, and a continuous-service preparation unit for preparing use of the service using a changed digital terminal.

When the P2P control device receives a request for generating an overlay of desired contents from a requesting peer, it generates a P2P overlay, a logical path along which contents are to be transmitted to the requesting peer, by using the registered information regarding the plurality of peers, information regarding a network to which the plurality of peers are connected, and information regarding the application service corresponding to the desired contents, and delivers the connection information to the requesting peer with reference to the P2P overlay.

Abstract: A method of configuring a multicast agent and a 1:N overlay multicast network considering a wireless local area network (WLAN) environment of the same are provided. The method includes: a session manger generating a first database with entries of multicast agents subscribing to a session and multicast agents that have applied for subscription to a session but have not been confirmed for normal operation; a multicast agent generating a second database with entries of a path from the root of a tree to which the multicast agent belongs, a hierarchical relation in the tree, the list of probed neighboring nodes, and a list of not-probed neighboring nodes; the multicast agent subscribing to the overlay network; obtaining information on neighboring multicast agents; setting a multicast agent which is determined to be optimal based on the obtained information, as a parent node; and if a multicast agent providing a tree improved from the current tree is found, changing the parent node.
