    Abstract: A method reducing amount of memory utilized by hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) operations is disclosed. When an apparatus employing the method receives an LDPC encoded packet, the apparatus firstly estimates a signal quality value of the received packet, and performs an LDPC decoding algorithm on the received packet. If the received packet is not successfully decoded by the apparatus, the received and decoding-failed packet is compressed in order to reduce bit-width, and the compressed packet is stored in a memory device for later HARQ operations. The apparatus employing the method is also disclosed.

The apparatus determines a real strength distribution among several terminal apparatuses according to their signal strength, determines a selected policy based on the real strength distribution and the predetermined strength distributions, and determines a user transmission mechanism for each terminal apparatus. Each user transmission mechanism includes the first predetermined transmission mechanism and/or the second predetermined transmission mechanism of the selected policy. The network transmission mechanism includes the user transmission mechanisms.

    Abstract: A method for mitigating interference is provided. First, a received signal having a training sequence is received from a transmitter. Then, a Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) of the training sequence in the received signal is calculated, and whether a co-channel interference signal exists in the received signal is determined according to the SINR. The signal power corresponding to each time index in the received signal is calculated to detect a beginning time point and an ending time point of the co-channel interference signal. Finally, when the co-channel interference signal in the received signal is detected, the time when an interference cancellation filter is turned on is determined by the beginning time point and the ending time point.
