Patent number: 8439713Abstract: The present invention is to provide a high-power connector having a heat dissipation structure, which includes a cover, a plurality of resilient metal terminals and a plurality of auxiliary metal plates. The cover is made of an insulating material and defines a plurality of receiving spaces therein. The resilient metal terminals are fitted in the receiving spaces respectively. The front section of each resilient metal terminal has an arcuate shape, passes through a lateral side of the cover, and is exposed from the cover. The front section of each auxiliary metal plate is electrically connected to the corresponding resilient metal terminal, and the rear section of each auxiliary metal plate is electrically connected to a circuit board. Since the auxiliary metal plates have relatively low impedance capable of rapidly releasing the heat generated by the connector, the components of the connector are prevented from premature aging attributable to high temperature.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2012Date of Patent: May 14, 2013Assignee: Simula Technology Inc.Inventors: Hsien-Yu Chiu, Shin-Way Lin, Han-Min Chu

Patent number: 7627215Abstract: An optical intermediary component is suitable for guiding a light from an output optical path into an input optical path. The optical intermediary component includes a light guiding portion extending along a light axis. The light guiding portion has a light incident surface and a light emitting surface at two opposite ends thereof respectively. The light from the output optical path passes through the light incident surface and the light emitting surface of the light guiding portion in sequence, and is guided into the input optical path. The area of the light incident surface is greater than that of the light emitting surface. Therefore, a high assembly tolerance may reduce the manufacturing and assembly cost.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2008Date of Patent: December 1, 2009Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Shin-Way Lin, Ben-Hwa Jang

Patent number: 7540751Abstract: A method for fabricating a microconnector and the shape of terminals of the microconnector is proposed, which combines a cover with a base as a female connector, inserts an inserting member as a male connector between the cover and the base, and the ends of the terminals at the base electrically connecting the inserting member undergoing plasma treatment for controlling the shape thereof. The terminals of the microconnector can be actuated with by a low voltage. By such arrangement, the inserting member can be firmly engaged and the intervals between terminals and the overall size of the microconnector can be reduced while providing low insertion force and electrostatic actuating force.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 2006Date of Patent: June 2, 2009Assignee: Industrial Technology Research InstituteInventors: Ben-Hwa Jang, Shin-Way Lin, Wei-Leun Fang, Wang-Shen Su
