  • Publication number: 20100307414
Abstract: [Object] To provide a take-up type vacuum deposition apparatus capable of preventing a thermal deformation of a base material due to charged particles leaked from a neutralization unit without an increase in size of the apparatus. [Solving Means] A take-up type vacuum deposition apparatus according to the present invention includes a charge capturing body provided between a cooling can roller and a neutralization unit that captures charged particles floating from the neutralization unit toward the can roller. Accordingly, the charged particles leaked from the neutralization unit are prevented from reaching the can roller, which suppresses variation in a bias potential applied to the can roller for bringing it into close contact with a base material, and keeps stable electrostatic force with respect to the base material. Accordingly, adhesion force between the base material and the cooling roller can be kept stable, and thus a thermal deformation of the base material can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7670433
Abstract: The problem solved by this Invention is to provide a vacuum evaporation deposition method of the winding type and a vacuum evaporation deposition apparatus of the winding type which can form a metal film on a base film made of single layer plastic film without thermal deformation and with superior productivity. To solve the above problem, there are provided an electron beam irradiator 21 for irradiating an electron beam onto a film material 12 arranged between an unwinding roller 13 and a deposition source 16; an auxiliary roller 18 for guiding the film 12 in contact with the deposited metal layer and arranged between a can roller 14 and a winding roller 15; a DC bias power source 22 for applying a DC voltage between the auxiliary roller 18 and the can roller 14; electricity removing unit 23 for removing electricity from the film 12 and arranged between the can roller 14 and the winding roller 15.

  • Patent number: 6112821
Abstract: A new sprinkler head for sprinkler installations is claimed which is compact and reduces production costs. In addition, the structure makes possible installation to a distribution pipe ahead of fitting a ceiling and easily enables checks for leakage. In detail a main body has an upper body connected to a water distribution pipe in a ceiling, the main body has an upper body with a valve seat which has a shoulder situated at the lower end of the upper body, and a lower frame which has a plurality of lugs facing inward. A nozzle has a plurality of discharge apertures at its lower end and an outwardly flared nozzle retainer which moves freely up and down inside the upper body and prevents movement of the nozzle passed the shoulder. A cap has a seal which seals the valve seat outside of the upper body at the bottom of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5348099
Abstract: An indoor fire hydrant apparatus includes a fire hose having electrical conductors extending along its length and connected to a switch mounted near the nozzle end of the hose. Closure of the switch causes energization of a solenoid-actuated valve which is connected between a source of water under pressure and the hose. Closure of the switch also causes energization of a pump to build up the water pressure. A single person may pull the hose from a rack, extend it toward a fire, and actuate the switch thereby causing water under pressure to be dispersed through the nozzle. The electrical conductors may be embedded in a wall of the fire hose or mounted on an exterior surface of the hose. The hose may be of the folding type or the type which maintains its generally circular shape.

  • Patent number: 5194812
Abstract: Apparatus for locating buried objects such as underground pipes, cables or the like where a transmitter (1) generates an alternating current signal which is fed into the object to produce an alternating field emanating from the object, and a receiver (2) locates this radiation to identify the position of the object. A secondary transmitter (T) transmits a reference signal of the same frequency and phase as the original signal, and a signal processor in a receiver (2a) combines the two signals to eliminate the effects of noise.
