Abstract: A wireless video terminal (17) creates a control signal for requesting video data. This control signal includes the type of the requested video data, a method of transmitting the video data, a position registration request and the like. The wireless video terminal (17) requests the video data by transmitting this control signal to a video server (11) through a base-station for control-data (19) and a network (13). The video server (11) transmits the requested video data to the wireless video terminal (17) requesting the video data through a designated channel, via the network (13), a router for video-data (14) and a base-station for video-data (15).

Abstract: The invention provides a communication network system which permits parallel access of a plurality of nodes to a transmission line and which has a high throughput and low delay, with fairness among the nodes maintained. In the communication network system, a plurality of tokens correspondingly associated with the nodes, respectively, are allowed to circulate on the transmission line. Each node is allowed to transmit data only when the frame insertion buffer is empty. The node, when having data to be transmitted, awaits the arrival of a token. If a token that has arrived corresponds to the self node, or if a node corresponding to the arrived token is downstream of the destination node as viewed from the own self node, the node forms a packet from its holding data and transmits it onto the transmission line.

Abstract: A communication system includes plural terminal apparatuses and a communication line monitor connected to a common a communication line. The monitor transmits to each of the terminal apparatuses a request signal for requesting each of the terminal apparatuses to transmit the data of a correspondence table, showing a relation between packet data and character codes corresponding thereto, when the monitor is initialized, receives the data of the correspondence table from each of the terminal apparatuses, and stores the received data of the correspondence tables in a memory. Thereafter, the monitor receives packet data transmitted through the communication line, coverts the received packet data into corresponding character codes by referring to the data of the correspondence tables stored in the memory, and displays the converted character codes on a display unit.
