Patent number: 6424877Abstract: In order to produce a reproduction of an object such as a human face, a three-dimensional form of the object is measured with a three-dimensional measuring device, and the measured form is displayed. After a user approves the displayed form, a material is worked according to the measured form to work a reproduction of the object. If the user cancels the displayed form, the form is measured again and the measured form is displayed. Characteristics of the measured form are extracted, and an appropriate material is selected among a plurality of materials. On the other hand, the data of the measured form are converted to work data with reference to the size and the quality of a product to be worked which have been stored in a database. Preferably, the data are compressed in the depth direction in order to shorten the working time. Then, the material is worked in a series of processes from the form input to the working in a simple way, and the user can obtained a desired three-dimensional reproduction.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1998Date of Patent: July 23, 2002Assignee: Minolta Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Kondo, Shingo Asai, Koji Sugie, Shinji Mishima, Koji Fujiwara

Patent number: 5581416Abstract: A resin polygonal mirror having reflective facets each of which is made by injecting resin from a plurality of pin point gates or a single film gate. A core of the polygonal mirror is made of a different resin from the resin which is the material of the reflective facets. A mold of the polygonal mirror has side segments which are divided by parting lines extended from corners of the reflective facets.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 1993Date of Patent: December 3, 1996Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Shingo Asai

Patent number: 5131778Abstract: A coupling structure and a method of coupling resin structures wherein a first member is coupled with a thermoplastic second member through a coupling force produced by constricting the volume of the resin during molding and/or the generation of an undercut structure. The undercut structure results from the deformation of a projection member caused by the flow pressure and temperature of the resin. A recess is provided in one of the members. The recess is indented in the laying direction. On the other member, a projection is provided which enters the recess. The coupling of the two members is therefore simple and does not require the use of a subsidiary material. Additionally, when an undercut structure is formed, extremely strong coupling is obtained. Since the undercut is formed by deformation of the projection, no undercut structure is required to be formed on the die, so that no extra cost or burden has to be forced on the die.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1991Date of Patent: July 21, 1992Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shingo Asai, Katsumi Nakajima, Akihiko Matsumoto

Patent number: 5124753Abstract: A developing device having a developing sleeve loosely mounted on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical developing roller. Both end portions of the developing sleeve are pressed against the developing roller by a pair of guide pads so that a part of the developing sleeve keeps contacting the developing roller. The force applied by the the pair of the guide pads to the developing sleeve is in such an extent that driving force of the developing roller is transmitted to the developing sleeve in the portion in which the developing sleeve contacts the developing roller and that the developing sleeve is allowed to rotate in correspondence with the rotation of the developing roller. A blade member for forming a thin layer of toner on the developing sleeve is in contact with the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve. Fine irregularities are formed on the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve so as to hold toners adhered thereto.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 1990Date of Patent: June 23, 1992Assignee: Minolta Camera Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shingo Asai, Masahiko Adachi, Hiroaki Shinkawa, Yuji Enoguchi
