  • Patent number: 7426809
Abstract: In a packaging apparatus, when replacing a preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard (wrapping material) with a subsequent single-faced corrugated fiberboard, a draw-out roller is operated such that the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard is drawn out to its trailing end. At this time, a reserve roller, around which the single-faced corrugated fiberboard is trained, is moved such that the single-faced corrugated fiberboard, which has been drawn out, is accumulated thereat. Then, the trailing end of the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard and a leading end of the subsequent single-faced corrugated fiberboard are joined together at a joining device. In this way, the preceding single-faced corrugated fiberboard can be used up until its final end, and thus there is no waste of the single-faced corrugated fiberboard.

  • Patent number: 5275271
Abstract: A circular-arc shaped movable conveyor is horizontally turned along a circular-arc orbital path of a stationary conveyor according to the difference between he feeding-in amount from feeding-in port to the movable conveyor and the feeding-out amount from the stationary conveyor to a feeding-out port. Thus, the capacities of an upper compartment on the movable conveyor and a lower compartment on the stationary conveyor are increased and decreased,so that the imbalance between the demand to a post-processing machine and the supply from a pre-processing machine can be adjusted. Furthermore, the rod-shaped articles are fed from he feeding-in port to the feeding-out port while sequentially passing through the upper compartment and the lower compartment.

  • Patent number: 4944503
Abstract: A division sheet feeding method comprises the steps of laying at least one division sheet, which is fed by a division sheet conveyance device, upon a group of a predetermined number of product sheets each time the predetermined number of the product sheets are stacked one upon another by a sheet stacking device in the course of cutting a product web by a product web cutting device into the product sheets having predetermined sizes, conveying the product sheets by a product sheet conveyance device, and stacking the product sheets by the sheet stacking device. A division sheet web is cut as required to obtain the division sheet, and the division sheet is fed to the division sheet conveyance device.

  • Patent number: 4757732
Abstract: An apparatus for slitting a web material to a desired width comprises a pair of movable frames each holding a pair of coacting upper and lower slitting edges, and a plurality of rotatable spacer rollers which are positionable selectively between the left and right slitting edges so as to support the web material being slit. The movable frames can be symmetrically moved toward and away from each other so as to adjust the distance between the left and right slitting edges to a desired width to which the web material is to be slit. In accordance with the adjusted distance, the rotatable spacer rollers can be posititioned selectively between the slitting edges, thereby supporting the web material over substantially its entire width.
