  • Publication number: 20070100935
Abstract: A reproducing means for performing reproduction processing on digital data which is read out from a predetermined recording medium recording the digital data, a manipulating means for making an instruction of reproducing the digital data inserted in the recording medium, a control means for reading the digital data from the recording medium in accordance with the reproduction instruction input with the manipulating means and sending it to the reproducing means, and for controlling the reproducing means to perform reproduction processing on the digital data, and a cylindrical case for containing the reproducing means and the control means are provided, and wherein the manipulating means is provided on one end side on one plane in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical case. Thereby the user can manipulate the manipulating means without taking out a portable recording and/or reproducing device from a bag or a pocket, thus making it possible to remarkably improve its manipulation.

  • Publication number: 20050286859
Abstract: The invention provides an efficient transfer of video/audio contents recorded by a server in advance for a user to view the contents with a mobile terminal, whereby the user is relieved of troublesome operations. The information processor includes two record means for recording coded video/audio data, the second record means controls already played back data having already been viewed by the user of the data transferred from the first record means, and when data is newly transferred from the first record means, the retransfer means is provided which erases only the already played back data, and transfers the data corresponding to a capacity evacuated by the erasing from the first record means.

  • Publication number: 20050039105
Abstract: A multiplexed audio data decoder apparatus is provided in which integration of an audio decoder is easy, and has a high flexibility when the number of the formats to be processed is increased or when the specification is changed. In an external ROM 60 there are accumulated a plurality of decoding program codes corresponding to respective plural methods for compressing and encoding. A controller means 50 transfers the decoding program code corresponding to the method for compressing and encoding after changing thereof, from the external ROM 60 to an internal RAM 25. A DSP 22 starts decoding processing by using the decoding program code which is transmitted into the internal RAM 25.

  • Patent number: 6788928
Abstract: A cellular phone which is easy to use featuring a sufficient degree of safety preventing unauthorized use by conducting a minimum degree of required authentication operation which is not perceived by the user. As the user holds the cellular phone 1 by hand, the control unit 12 issues an instruction to temperature obtaining units 15 to start detecting the temperature. The temperature obtaining units measure the temperature at regular intervals, and successively transfer the obtained temperature data to a temperature comparator unit 16. The temperature comparator unit judges whether the temperature data obtained by the temperature obtaining units are lying within a predetermined condition, and issues an instruction to biodata obtaining units 19 to obtain fingerprint data of the user depending upon the result of judgement. The biodata obtaining units obtain the fingerprint data of the user and transfer the obtained fingerprint data to a biodata authentication unit 20.
