Abstract: According to one embodiment, a moving image processor includes a receiver, a storage module, a rendering module, an overlay module, and an output module. The receiver receives moving image data. The storage module stores image data as a template of a user interface screen. The rendering module generates bitmap data representing the user interface screen, through which input is received, based on the image data stored in the storage module. The overlay module overlays the bitmap data representing the user interface screen on the moving image data. The output module outputs the moving image data on which the bitmap data is overlaid.

  • Publication number: 20060095935
Abstract: In a digital broadcast receiver, an ECM and an EMM are separated from a digital signal of a selected channel. The separated ECM and EMM are decoded. The digital signal is scrambled using a scramble key obtained from the decoded ECM. Whether or not viewing the desired program is permitted is determined using the decoded ECM and the decoded EMM. Whether or not receiver is revoked is determined from the decoded EMM. When it is determined that the receiver is revoked, the receiver is connected to a revoke relevant information providing server for providing revoke relevant information and the revoke relevant information is acquired and the acquired revoke relevant information is output.

  • Patent number: 5978479
Abstract: A descramble section extracts required information for descrambling transmitted together with TV signals and converts scrambled signals to ordinary TV signals in response to input control signals. A microcomputer system has a function of processing view-contract management using a required information for descrambling and applies the control signals to the descramble section based on a result of the viewer-contract management processing, when an IC card is not connected. On the other hand, when IC card is connected, the microcomputer system gives the required information for descrambling to the IC card and gives control signals from the IC card to the descramble section without processing the viewer-control management. The IC card performs the viewer-contract management processing using the necessary information for descrambling, and gives control signals to the microcomputer system based on the result of the viewer-contract management processing.

  • Patent number: 5745482
Abstract: In a repeating device for sending chargeable satellite broadcasting received through a BS antenna to a connected cable, a scrambled video signal and an audio signal are separated from each other by a separation part from a satellite broadcast signal. Relevant information packets multiplexed upon the audio signal are separated from each other by a separating part, and common information packets of the relevant information packets are separated from each other by another separation part. Common information packets which are successively sent five times are judged in majority by a majority judgement part. Packets having errors corrected by an error correction part are temporarily stored in a buffer memory. The stored packets are read out three times by a thrice successive sending part wherein the stored packets are successively sent fewer times than the number of times the packets are sent from from an atmospheric transmission system.

  • Patent number: 5715020
Abstract: A remote control system which can control a plurality of remote control units (RCUs). The remote control system includes a first memory for storing an RCU identification code for each of the remote control units, a second memory for storing a maker identification code for the remote control apparatus corresponding to the RCU identification code, a model code, and a remote control code. The system further includes a device for reading an active remote control code from the second memory on the basis of the RCU identification code read from the first memory according to the apparatus control request from an active remote control unit. Electromagnetic waves or infrared rays act as a second modulated wave which is modulated on the basis of the active remote control code in order to control the function of the remote control apparatus corresponding to the active remote control code. The plurality of remote control units are managed by a single remote control reception and processing device.

  • Patent number: 5619251
Abstract: There is provided a method with which the expansion of CATV services and the diversity of subscribers' needs can be dealt with flexibly, it is easier to maintain and expand the apparatus, the system can be operated simply, and the parental control function is also simple. A head end and a subscriber terminal unit have two-way communication means and are connected to each other via a two-way transmission line. The HIB and subscriber remote control units each have two-way communication means. The output of HIB is supplied to various types of apparatuses. The HIB can also exchange data with an expansion unit. To control various types of apparatuses with a remote control unit, the remote control unit communicates with the HIB, receives the necessary data under the control of HIB, and together with HIB, controls various types of apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 4871011
Abstract: An air-conditioning equipment for a vehicle includes first and second local shutter control units each having a motor for moving a shutter, a drive circuit for driving the motor, a controlling device responsive to a heat load signal to control the drive circuit to thereby control the shutter in accordance with the heat load signal, and a blower control unit responsive to changes in opening of the shutter to control the rate of an air flow. Since separate shutter control units are provided, each shutter can be controlled independently, thus preventing all the air-conditioning functions from halting simutaneously otherwise occurred in conventional air-conditioning equipment having a central control unit or microcomputer.

  • Patent number: 4698980
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a vehicle air conditioner having a speed setting mechanism interconnected to the output shaft of an actuator for turning an air mixing shutter so as to switch the blower between low and high speed operations. The cam mechanism has the first rotary part interlocked to the output shaft of the actuator and a response part in response to the rotary part to turn the air mixing shutter. When the output shaft is turned within a predetermined rotary range c set narrower that the entire rotary range of the output shaft, the air mixing shutter can be turned between full cooler and heater positions. The speed setting mechanism brings the blower to a low speed operation when the rotary angle of the output shaft falls within the rotary range c and to a high speed operation when the rotary angle of the output shaft falls outside the rotary range c.
