  • Publication number: 20050008337
Abstract: A multimedia optical disc is provided. The multimedia optical disc includes a data area and a management information area. The data area stores a plurality pieces of video data. The management information area stores a channel table in which a plurality of logical channel numbers are respectively related to a plurality of physical channel numbers for each piece of video data. A piece of moving picture data and a plurality pieces of sub-data are interleaved in each piece of video data. The sub-data is either of audio data and sub-picture data as still pictures. The logical channel numbers are shared by pieces of video data. The physical channel numbers are used to physically identify the plurality pieces of sub-data. With this construction, it is possible to manage sub-data even when the sub-data is dealt with by a plurality pieces of video data.

  • Patent number: 6839502
Abstract: A reproduction route composed of a still image section and a motion image section is recorded on a recordable DVD. A drive device (93) reads picture data from the DVD-RAM. An MPEG decoder (95) decodes and displays the read picture data. By referring to cell information, the judgment is performed as to whether the read picture data belongs to the still image section or the motion image data. If the read picture data belongs to the still image section, the next picture data is read out after a predetermined wait time.

  • Publication number: 20040264947
Abstract: An optical disc includes a data area for recording a plurality of video segments and an index area for recording original type chain information and user-defined type chain information. The original type chain information defines an original type chain including first ones of the video segments by describing a reproduction order of the first video segments. The user-defined type chain information defines a user-defined type chain including second ones of the video segments by describing a reproduction order of the second video segments. The first video segments are positioned in the data area in the reproduction order of the first video segments whereas the second video segments are positioned in the data area independently of the reproduction order of the second video segments.

  • Publication number: 20040264946
Abstract: A multimedia optical disc for recording main video data which is composed of sets of frame data that is processed beforehand to allow compatibility with displays of a plurality of aspect ratios. The disc has a stream area storing streams made up of the main video data and a plurality of sets of sub-picture data, with each set of sub-picture data including a set of tel-op data and a set of coordinate information showing a display position of the set of tel-op data. The disc also includes a control area storing a plurality of pairings of a set of display mode information and a set of sub-picture indicating information. Each set of display mode information shows a species of display method according to which the frame data is to be processed for a case when the frame data decoded from the main video data is displayed at one of the plurality of aspect ratios.

  • Patent number: 6737583
Abstract: A grommet 1 includes a corniced part 2 in a shape of a bellows, and two engaging parts 3, 4 integrally formed on opposite ends of the corniced part and adapted to be engaged with respective bodies to be fitted such as a chassis panel 5 and a door panel 6. The grommet 1 is formed in a hollow tubular shape in such a manner that the corniced part 2 is smaller in diameter than the engaging parts 3, 4. The grommet 1 can be obtained by molding thermoplastic elastomer by injection molding so that the diameter of the engaging parts is less than five times as large as the diameter of the corniced part, opening molds 17, 18 for forming an outer face thereof, and thereafter, enlarging the corniced part thereby removing the grommet from a core 19 for forming an inner face thereof.

  • Patent number: 6597862
Abstract: An individual information manager manages individual information of respective disks housed in a disk housing. The individual information includes residual area information indicative of the size of a residual area on which data is recordable. A disk selection controller selects a target disk from the disks housed in the housing by reference to the individual information of the respective disks that is managed by the individual information manager. In this configuration, a target disk can be appropriately selected in view of residual capacities of respective disks used during recording data, even if the user does not specify any disk.

  • Publication number: 20030086688
Abstract: An optical disc including: a data area storing one or more video objects; and a time map area storing time map information. Each video object includes a plurality of video object units. The time map information includes a pair of a first time table and a second time table for each video object. Each first time table includes: addresses of video object units in a corresponding video object; and indicators. The addresses are arranged in order and indicate storage positions of the video object units that correspond to reproduction points that differ by a predetermined time unit. The predetermined time unit is longer than a maximum reproduction period of a video object unit. The indicators specify the video object units which respectively correspond to the addresses. Each second time table includes an entry for each video object unit in the corresponding video object. The entries are arranged in order. Each second time table includes a reproduction period and a data size of each video object unit.

  • Patent number: 6494413
Abstract: A holding recess (14) for holding the self-supporting-type cable (1) is formed between elastic holding portions (12, 13). Retaining projections (12a, 13a) are formed respectively on those side surfaces of the elastic holding portions (12, 13), exposed to the holding recess (14), in stepped relation to each other. Even when the self-supporting-type cable (1) is held in any posture, with its cable body portion (2) or its wire support portion (3) first introduced into the holding recess (14), the cable body portion (2) is engaged with the two retaining projections (12a, 13a) in a press-contacted manner to be prevented from withdrawal, or the cable body portion is engaged with the retaining projection (13a) and the bottom of the holding recess (14) in a press-contacted manner, and therefore is held in a stable manner.
