  • Patent number: 10018139
Abstract: A fuel injection device is used in an internal combustion engine having a combustion chamber partitioned by a cylinder head, a cylinder, and a piston crown surface so that at least one of the amount of NOx, Pmax, and a thermal efficiency ? is maintained at a predetermined value. The fuel injection device includes a fuel injection change unit. The fuel injection change unit virtually divides the combustion chamber into N number of combustion zones where N is a natural number of 2 or more, and can change a fuel injection method according to the respective combustion zones. The fuel injection change unit divides the combustion chamber into the N number of combustion zones, thereby being capable of eliminating a difference of heat in the respective combustion zones, and precisely controlling an in-cylinder pressure P in the combustion chamber. As a result, the amount of NOx and the thermal efficiency can be optimized.

  • Publication number: 20180179995
Abstract: An internal combustion engine control apparatus includes a fuel injection apparatus injecting fuel into a combustion chamber a plurality of times during a single cycle, and controls an internal combustion engine that performs compression combustion. The internal combustion engine control apparatus includes an injection command unit and an injection specification determining unit. The injection command unit commands the fuel injection apparatus to perform: a main injection for a main combustion that generates torque; and a preceding injection that is performed at a stage before the main injection. The injection specification determining unit determines a penetration force of a spray produced by the preceding injection or an injection direction of the preceding injection, such that a range of reach of the spray produced by the preceding injection is closer to a nozzle hole of the fuel injection apparatus than a range of reach of a spray produced by the main injection.

  • Publication number: 20160010610
Abstract: A fuel injection device injects natural gas from a first injection hole of a first housing and injects light oil form a second injection hole of a second housing. A weld part as a fixation part fixes positions of the first injection hole and the second injection hole such that a spray of natural gas injected from the first injection hole and a spray of light oil injected from the second injection hole contact each other. Thus the spray of light oil self-ignites by compression of air in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine and the spray of natural gas burns by ignition from a flame of the self-ignited light oil.

  • Patent number: 8074444
Abstract: An exhaust emission control device has an additive valve and a control unit to decrease nitrogen oxides contained in an exhaust gas by means of a reducing agent. The control unit sets a valve opening period of time and a valve closing period of time alternately elapsing in a repetition cycle. The control unit controls the valve to discharge the agent into the exhaust gas during each valve opening period and to stop discharging the agent during each valve closing period. The control unit sets the valve opening period to be shortened as a flow rate of the exhaust gas is lowered, so that a penetration force of the reducing agent is appropriately set. The control unit sets the repetition cycle at a value depending on the flow rate of the nitrogen oxides to sufficiently deoxidize the nitrogen oxides by means of the agent.

  • Publication number: 20080256931
Abstract: An exhaust emission control device includes a reducing agent adding valve for injecting a reducing agent into an exhaust pipe. The adding valve has a tip end portion having a nozzle and facing an internal space of the exhaust pipe. The tip end portion is disposed outwardly of an inner circumferential surface of the exhaust pipe. The adding valve is kept out of direct striking contact with the exhaust gas and hence is substantially free from thermal degradation and adhesion of deposits.
