  • Patent number: 7073639
Abstract: A rotational machine includes a shaft, a rotary member rotatably mounted on the shaft with a bearing fitted between the shaft and the rotary member, an oil seal for sealing the bearing to prevent leakage of lubricant from inside the bearing through its axial end onto a surface of the rotary member, a brake which comes into sliding contact with a contact surface area formed on the surface of the rotary member for arresting rotation of the rotary member, a supporting member fixedly mounted on the shaft face to face with the rotary member forming a gap therebetween, the gap serving as a fluid path through which the lubricant which has leaked over the oil seal is allowed to flow, and an oil stop portion formed at a location in the gap between the oil seal and the contact surface area for impeding flow of the leaked lubricant.

  • Patent number: 6051774
Abstract: A solar battery module having the component members thereof joined uniformly and sustaining no distortion in the surface thereof and a method for the production thereof are disclosed, The solar battery module comprises a solar battery unit and a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb structure comprises a honeycomb core possessed of a plurality of cells and a first surface panel and a second surface panel respectively joined to opposite opening sides of the honeycomb core. The second surface panel has a plurality of perforations communicating with cavities in the cells of the honeycomb core. The honeycomb core has at least a pair of perforations in the walls of each of the cells or is made of a porous material.

  • Patent number: 5865234
Abstract: A vertical blind that includes a plurality of louvers of which certain louvers are alternately positioned and can be placed in various positions so that the vertical blind can be fully changed in form. The vertical blind further includes a rotation-transferring mechanism on alternating carriers. The rotation-transferring mechanism serves to transfer the rotation of the shaft, which is mounted in the head rail, to the louvers, which are hung from the alternating carriers, so that the louvers rotate around their vertical axes. If the louvers that are hung from the carriers with the rotation-transferring mechanism are positioned so that they are almost perpendicular to the head rail, each louver hung from those carriers that are not equipped with a rotation-transferring mechanism almost covers each space left between the louvers on either side of the louver hung from the carrier with the rotation-transferring mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5545443
Abstract: The formation of a transparent conductive ZnO film on a substrate in accordance with the chemical vapor deposition process is accomplished herein by a method characterized by feeding purified water and an organic metal material for Zn as separately entrained by a carrier gas into a vacuum chamber having a reduced inner pressure, adjusting the gas pressure inside the vacuum chamber to a level in the range of from 1 to 30 Torrs, supplying diborane gas or a compound containing boron or aluminum into the vacuum chamber, heating a substrate disposed inside the chamber to a prescribed temperature, and performing the ensuant formation of a film under the adjusted gas pressure mentioned above. Preferably, the formation of the film on the substrate disposed inside the vacuum chamber is carried out while the substrate is kept irradiated with ultraviolet light.

  • Patent number: 4827970
Abstract: A liquid dropping control device holds a bendable tube between a stationary klemmen and a movable klemmen, and adjusts a throttling amount of the tube by the movable klemmen, and comprises a means for detecting dropping of a liquid staying in a dropping tube, to be connected to said tube; a means for moving at high speed the movable klemmen to a direction of opening said tube so as to rapidly start dropping of the liquid staying in the dropping tube; a means for, after detecting start of the liquid dropping, moving the movable klemmen in a direction of throttling the tube and stopping it; and a means for, after detecting subsequent droppings, moving the movable klemmen at low speed so as to control said subsequent droppings at a determined speed.

  • Patent number: 4795867
Abstract: A motor actuator for an air conditioning system comprising a driving motor and an output shaft rotated by a driving force from the driving motor. At least one moveable contact is mounted on a contact mounting member rotatable together with the output shaft. Fixed contacts are mounted on a fixed circuit board. The movable contact is in sliding contact with the fixed contacts. A hysteresis imparting device is provided for imparting a hysteresis to the rotation of the contact mounting member with respect to the rotation of the output shaft. Further, the circuit board is interposed between an output gear on the output shaft and a switch disc rotatable together with the output gear. A switch device comprised of the movable contact and the fixed contacts is mounted between the circuit board and the output gear and/or between the circuit board and the switch disc.

  • Patent number: 3989892
Abstract: A line concentrator for a time division data switching exchange. Asynchronous and synchronous data signals generated at asynchronous and synchronous data terminals are subjected to known multi-point and synchronous sampling to become a train of bit-multiplexed first asynchronous and synchronous data channel signals. Responsive to a train of bit-interleaved read-in pulse groups timed relative to the respective synchronous data signals, an arithmetic unit stores the data channel signals in an octet memory according to the asynchronous and synchronous data terminals. Responsive to a train of read-out pulses appearing for the respective data terminals, the arithmetic unit reproduces groups of uninterleaved data channel signals for each data terminal and composes the reproduced data channel signals into a train of second asynchronous and synchronous data channel signals given by a common and uninterleaved bit format.
