    Abstract: A connector includes a housing (10) made of synthetic resin and formed with a terminal accommodating chamber (11). A resiliently deformable locking lance (12) is cantilevered forward along an inner wall surface of the terminal accommodating chamber (11) and a locking projection (15) is formed on the locking lance (12). A terminal fitting (30) is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber (11) from behind and has a locking hole (33) configured to engage the locking projection (15) when the terminal fitting (30) is inserted in the terminal accommodating chamber (11). Reinforcing ribs (20) are formed integrally on the locking lance (12) and project in a direction opposite to the terminal accommodating chamber (11) in a resilient deforming direction of the locking lance (12).

    Abstract: A terminal fitting (A) has a rectangular tubular terminal connecting portion (10) into which a tab (T) is to be inserted. A resilient contact piece (15) is folded to cantilever back from an end edge of a supporting plate (11) of the terminal connecting portion (10). A contact (20) is formed on the resilient contact piece (15). An auxiliary resilient piece (21) is formed by cutting a part of the resilient contact piece (15) and bending the cut part into resilient contact with the supporting plate (11) to increase a contact pressure between the contact (20) and the tab (T). The auxiliary resilient piece (21) is at a position before the contact (20) in an inserting direction of the tab (T) and closer to the supporting plate (11) than the contact (20) in a direction crossing the inserting direction of the tab.

    Abstract: A terminal fitting (T) includes a terminal main body (10) with a tab (11) at a front end part and a wire connecting portion (13) at a rear end part, and a shell (30) provided on the terminal main body (10) to be relatively displaceable between a protecting position for surrounding the tab (11) and an exposing position located behind the protecting position for exposing the tab (11). If the shell (30) is displaced to the protecting position, the tab (11) is protected from the interference of an external matter and the like, wherefore deformation, breakage and the like of the tab (11) can be prevented. Further, if the shell (30) is displaced to the exposing position to expose the tab (11), a mating terminal and the tab (11) can be connected.

    Abstract: A terminal fitting includes an open-barrel shaped electric wire crimping section for connecting a conductor of an electric wire to the terminal fitting by crimping. The electric wire crimping section has a clamping region in a range except for both ends of the electric wire crimping section in a wiring direction of the conductor. A fixing portion is formed by displacing a part of the clamping region of the electric wire crimping section to the conductor. Locking portions are disposed at both sides of the fixing portion in the wiring direction of the conductor with the fixing portion being located between them respectively. The locking portions are configured for coupling the fixing portion and a remainder of the electric wire crimping section to each other in a step-like way.
