  • Publication number: 20040209773
Abstract: A catalyst for decomposition of hydrocarbons, comprises porous oxide particles containing magnesium and aluminum, and fine metallic nickel particles which are present in the vicinity of surface of the respective porous oxide particles, and have an average particle diameter of 1 to 10 nm, said catalyst having a nickel content of 0.15 to 12% by weight based on the weight of the catalyst and a molar ratio of nickel to a sum of magnesium, nickel and aluminum of 0.001 to 0.12 in which a molar ratio of magnesium to aluminum (Mg:Al) is 4:1 to 1.5:1. The catalyst for decomposition of hydrocarbons, is capable of maintaining as small a particle size of metallic nickel particles as not more than 10 nm at a considerably reduced nickel content, and exhibits an excellent anti-coking property even under a low steam atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20040178619
Abstract: In a vehicle for uneven ground operation front wheels can be steered with a handle via a steering shaft mounted rotatably on the body frame with an upper cross beam being placed in spanning relationship between left and right front upper pipes composing the body frame and said steering shaft is supported by the upper cross beam. The left and right pipes can be coupled firmly to each other with the upper cross beam for enhancing the rigidity of the body frame. In addition, the number of components can be reduced as compared to providing a distinct steering shaft support member so that a reduction in the weight of the vehicle is achieved. If the upper cross beam is bend molded, the rigidity of the upper cross beam can be enhanced so that the rigidity of the body frame is further enhanced, while a weight increase is suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20040170027
Abstract: In a vehicle for uneven ground operation in which rear wheels are covered from above with respective rear fenders and respective mud guards attached to the rear fenders. Respective tail lamps are disposed adjacent to the rear fenders with the tail lamps being supported by the mud guards. Projecting and depressed portions formed on each of the mud guards to prevent interference with the tail lamp are no longer necessary so that the mud guard is molded easily. Even if there is an interference with the tail lamp during driving, the flexible mud guard is warped so that an impact on the tail lamp from the outside is prevented. Since the tail lamp is not mounted on the fender, the configuration of the fender can be simplified and cost can be reduced.
