  • Patent number: 6157104
Abstract: An electronic component cooling apparatus capable of permitting a sufficient amount of air to be fed to an electronic component to be cooled. An impeller which includes a plurality of blades for sucking air from one side in an axial direction of a revolving shaft of a motor is fixed on a rotor of the motor. A casing having a cylindrical cavity defined therein in which the motor and impeller are received is constructed of a peripheral wall arranged so as to surround the impeller and a closing wall for closing an end of the cavity on the other side in the axial direction. The peripheral wall is formed at a portion thereof in proximity to an end thereof on the one side with a lateral discharge port through which air suckedly introduced into the cavity is discharged so that a surrounding portion for surrounding a whole circumference of the impeller is left at a portion of the peripheral wall in proximity to an end on the other side.

  • Patent number: 5879141
Abstract: An air fan capable of increasing the amount of air fed in a radial direction thereof. An impeller which includes a plurality of blades for sucking air from one side in an axial direction of a revolving shaft of a motor and guiding sucked air mainly toward the other side in the axial direction is mounted on a rotor of the motor. A casing includes a peripheral wall arranged so as to define a cavity therein in which the motor and impeller are received. A cavity is closed at each of both ends in the axial direction with a closing wall. The peripheral wall is provided at a portion thereof in proximity to an end thereof on the one side with a lateral suction port which permits air to be suckedly introduced therethrough into the cavity in a radial direction of the revolving shaft.

  • Patent number: 5650678
Abstract: A bearing holder capable of holding therein a pair of bearings while keeping axes of the bearings to be positively aligned with each other and minimizing stress applied to the bearings. The bearing holder which is made of plastic resin and in which the bearings are held is mounted on a housing made of plastic resin. The bearing holder includes a hollow cylindrical holder body which is provided on an inner surface thereof with a plurality of projections inwardly projected therefrom so as to be contacted with an outer periphery of each of the bearings. The projections each are formed so as to continuously extend in a longitudinal direction of the holder body. The holder body is formed at each of both ends thereof with a plurality of slits each extending along each of both sides of each of the slits.
