    Abstract: There is provided a pinching tool capable of reliably pinching an object by a pair of pinching teeth each having a continuous mountain-valley shape and accurately performing a secondary operation on the object pinched between the pinching teeth. A first arm 1 and a second arm 2 each of which has a jaw 4 arranged on the front end and a grip 5 arranged on the rear end side are coupled in an X shape by coupling bosses 6 arranged on the arms 1, 2 adjacent to the jaws 4 and a coupling shaft 3. Lateral pinching teeth 11 are formed on front parts of opposed surfaces of the pair of jaws 4. Each of the lateral pinching teeth 11 includes a plurality of lateral rib teeth 17 which extend in a direction intersecting a tool central axis 8 and are continuous in a mountain-valley shape.

In the present invention, finger pinch prevention guards 20a, 20b for preventing fingertips from entering the opposing inner surfaces 10a, 10b side from above or below are formed on left and right operation portions 7a, 7b. This can prevent user's fingertips from reaching the opposing inner surfaces (10a, 10b) by setting the user's fingertips inserted into finger placing holes (6a, 6b) along upper and lower surfaces of the finger pinch prevention guards 20a, 20b. Consequently, when the operation portions 7a, 7b are in the closed position, the fingertips are prevented from being pinched between the opposing inner surfaces 10a, 10b so as not to cause finger pinch.

The pair of pliers is formed by coupling a first arm 1 and a second arm 2 each having a jaw portion 4 and a grip 5 through a coupling shaft 3 in an X shape. Each of the jaw portions 4, 4 is provided on left and right sides of a front end thereof with flanks 16, 16 for preventing opposite corners of front ends of each of the jaw portions 4, 4 from coming in contact with a screw fastened face 22. Each of the jaw portions 4, 4 also comprises longitudinal pinching teeth 13, 13 capable of pinching the peripheral face of the screw head 21 so as to be recessed in opposed faces of the respective jaw portions 4, 4 between the left and right flanks 16, 16.
