  • Publication number: 20110004745
Abstract: A method of controlling a hibernation mode for a measurement instrument comprising a computer system and a computer system is provided. In a case that a power switch is turned off in a hibernation mode, contents of a memory of the computer system is transferred to a non-volatile storage device such as a hard disk drive unit under control of an operating system of the computer system and a power circuit of the measurement instrument is turned off. In a case that the power switch is turned on in the hibernation mode, the power circuit is turned on, the transferred contents stored in the non-volatile storage device is transferred to the memory under control of the operating system and the measurement device is initialized under control of application software and data stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 7764305
Abstract: CW lock is conducted with less manual operation. A first input 22 receives a black burst (BB) signal from a key TV station. A second input 30 receives a continuous wave (CW) signal having an accurate, known frequency. A phase adjust signal generator 24 generates a reset signal having a known phase relationship with regard to the key TV station BB signal. The reset signal is used as a phase adjust signal. A PLL 32 receives the CW signal to provide clock. A counter 34 receives the clock and provides a frame pulse signal for synchronizing the key and local TV signals at a local TV station wherein the BB signal of the local station may be derived from the frame pulse signal. The counter 34 uses the reset signal to adjust the phase relationship between the key TV station BB signal and the frame pulse to a desired phase relationship based upon the key TV station BB signal.

  • Publication number: 20060290783
Abstract: A user can select an output desired video test signal of a desired video format for a video test signal generator by fewer operations. There are two modes; format priority mode and test signal priority mode. If the user starts the video test signal selection, lists of video test signals and/or video formats are displayed on a display screen. If the user selects a video test signal name on the screen, the process enters into the test signal priority mode and a list of video formats that have the selected test signal is displayed. The user can select a desired video format to determine the output video test signal of the desired video format. At this time, the user may change the video format as many times as needed without changing the selected video test signal.
