  • Patent number: 9637131
Abstract: A clutch control system includes a hunting determining unit that determines whether or not a hunting condition, under which hunting occurs in an engine rotational speed of an engine, is met, and a clutch position control unit. The clutch position control unit executes a first clutch position control, which is in accordance with engine rotation information, on the clutch if the hunting determining unit determines that the hunting condition is not met, and executes a second clutch position control, which is lower in response to the engine rotation information than the first clutch position control, on the clutch if the hunting determining unit determines that the hunting condition is met.

  • Patent number: 8903292
Abstract: A fixing device includes: an induction coil; heating rotator; pressurizing rotator disposed to face the heating rotator; fixing nip; and magnetic core unit. The heating rotator is disposed in a region through which a magnetic flux generated by the induction coil passes and rotates about a first rotational shaft. The magnetic core unit forms a magnetic path circularly encloses the induction coil. The magnetic core unit includes arch core portions and a core supporting member supporting these portions. The arch core portions each have an arch shape facing the heating rotator across the induction coil and are arranged at intervals in a direction of the first rotational shaft. Each arch core portion has first engaging portions formed respectively at both ends thereof and a core main body formed between the first engaging portions. The core supporting member has second engaging portions with which the first engaging portions are engageable.

  • Patent number: 8798883
Abstract: An automatic transmission apparatus includes a transmission mechanism, an actuator arranged to rotate a shift drum, and a control device. The control device includes a determining unit arranged to detect a state of a straddle-type vehicle and to determine whether the straddle-type vehicle is in a first state in which an engaging force between the transmission gears is estimated to be equal to or greater than a predetermined value or in a second state in which the engaging force is estimated to be less than the predetermined value; a first gear shifting control unit arranged and programmed to control the actuator so that, if in the first state, the rotational speed of the shift drum becomes a first rotational speed; and a second gear shifting control unit arranged and programmed to control the actuator so that, if in the second state, the rotational speed of the shift drum becomes a second rotational speed that is lower than the first rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 7929899
Abstract: Disclosed is a waste toner container for collecting waste toner removed from an image bearing member. The waste toner container includes a receiving section adapted to introduce the waste toner from an inlet port provided in an upper region thereof, and receive therein the waste toner dropped down through the inlet port, an accumulation section arranged to extend from the receiving section in a lateral direction approximately perpendicular to a dropping direction of the waste toner and rotatably coupled to the receiving section, and a rotary member adapted to allow for rotation of the accumulation section.

  • Patent number: 7734218
Abstract: A cover-body locking construction includes a specified housing, a frame insertable into and withdrawable from the housing, a structure supported on the frame, and a cover body shiftable between a covering position to cover at least part of the structure and an exposing position to expose the at least part of the structure to the outside by canceling the covered state with the structure withdrawn from the housing. The cover body includes a locking member having a locking portion for locking the cover body set at the covering position into the frame and an operating portion for causing the locking portion to lock and unlock. The housing includes a lock guiding member shaped to interlock the locking portion with the frame due to the interference with the cover body and the operating portion upon inserting the frame into the housing with the structure covered by the cover body.
