  • Patent number: 7843960
Abstract: A multi-carrier radio transmission system able to improve frequency utilization efficiency, and a transmission device and a reception device used in the multi-carrier radio transmission system are disclosed. In the transmission device, at least one sub-carrier set to be the virtual sub-carrier is dynamically designated according to sub-carrier arrangement information. The reception device used in the above system includes an adaptive array antenna unit that is adaptively controlled so that signal components associated with the virtual sub-carriers in the received signals are reduced, and a determination unit that determines a pattern to be used in communications among plural sub-carrier arrangement patterns in which at least some of virtual sub-carrier arrangements are different. Because the virtual sub-carrier arrangement patterns can be used as identification information of radio signals, it is possible to improve utilization of frequency resources compared to the related art.

  • Patent number: 6989721
Abstract: An adaptive controller adaptively controls a plurality of variable high frequency devices. A calculation part calculates a scalar function value by using a signal varied in accordance with impedances of the variable high frequency devices, a reference signal, and a predetermined scalar function. An impedance variation part creates a signal that sequentially varies the impedances of the variable high frequency devices. A determination part determines, when the impedance of one of the variable high frequency devices is varied, whether a direction in which the scalar function value is varied is in a predetermined sloped direction. The impedance variation part includes a first variation part that, when a decision result in the determination part is in the predetermined direction, creates a signal that further varies the impedance of the one of the variable high frequency devices in the predetermined sloped direction.

  • Patent number: 5999575
Abstract: There is disclosed a channel separating filter apparatus for separating a frequency-multiplexed signal comprised of channel signals into respective channel signals. A frequency-converting section frequency-converts the frequency-multiplexed signal into a plurality of channel signals, so that an average value of carrier wave frequencies of two channel signals which are located in the center of the frequency-multiplexed signal and are adjacent to each other becomes substantially zero, and then outputs the plurality of frequency-converted channel signals. Thereafter, a channel separating section separates the plurality of frequency-converted channel signals outputted from the frequency-converting section into respective channel signals each having only a frequency component of each channel signal, thereby separating the frequency-multiplexed signal into at least two channel signals.
