  • Patent number: 6966296
Abstract: A throttle device which prevents the entry of foreign compounds into a slidable contact portion between a brush and a commutator is provided to prevent the malfunctioning of a motor. A first shielding portion is integrally formed in a brush holder, which is attached to a yoke of a motor for holding a brush. The plate-shaped first shielding portion covers the vicinity of the yoke in the outer periphery of the yoke. Accordingly, the first shielding portion covers a gap left between the yoke and the brush holder, and a slidable contact portion between a commutator and the brush on a throttle gear side. Therefore, the first shielding portion prevents a foreign compound, generated in an engagement portion between the throttle gear and a reduction gear and falling onto a motor, from moving to the slidable contact portion, so that it is possible to prevent poor contact between the commutator and the brush.

  • Patent number: 6962325
Abstract: In an electronically controlled throttle apparatus, a coil spring is shaped to extend from a U-shaped hook portion which is a joint between a first spring portion having a returning function and a second spring portion having an opening function to the other end of the second spring portion. A coating of a lubricant is provided on a sliding contact area between the inside circumferential surface of the coil spring and the outside circumferential surface of the second spring inside circumferential guide. Thus, the sliding resistance in relative motion between the coil spring and the second spring inside circumferential guide can be significantly reduced.

  • Patent number: 6912994
Abstract: In a gear case of a throttle body, a valve gear is fixed to one end of a throttle shaft, an intermediate reduction gear is rotatable around an intermediate shaft, a pinion gear is fixed to a motor shaft of a drive motor, and a full close position stopper is provided for defining the full close position of a throttle valve. Those are provided all in alignment with the longitudinal centerline of the gear case. For car models where the throttle body bore inside diameter is identical but the rotation direction of the drive motor differs, only some components in the gear case need be replaced and the other components in the gear case can be used as common components.

  • Patent number: 5810030
Abstract: A fluid control solenoid valve includes a fluid passage having a valve seat therein. The solenoid valve further includes a bellows having a valve element and a retractable bellows portion continuous with the valve element. The valve element opens the fluid passage when lifted from the valve seat, and closes the fluid passage when seated onto the valve seat. A first spring urges the valve element in a valve lifting direction away from the valve seat, while a second spring urges the valve element in a valve seating direction toward the valve seat. An electromagnetic actuator is further provided for moving the valve element in the valve lifting direction, when energized. The first spring is interposed between an adjusting screw and the valve element. The adjusting screw is arranged to be extended at a high temperature so as to increase a biasing force of the first spring urging the valve element in the valve lifting direction.
