When the first device is not electrically connected to the second device, after the driver transmits a command to the operation input device, the first controller transmits to the driver a reply to the transmitted command instead of the second controller.

The operation area is provided on an outer surface of the housing. The display is located in the operation area, and includes a first indicator and a second indicator made of a light transmissive material. The first indicator corresponds to a design that indicates operation content, while the second indicator is located in a position not covered by an operation tool with which operation is performed on the first indicator and indicates operation state. The input detector faces the operation area in the housing and detects electrostatic capacitance in the operation area. The light source device emits light to the display in the operation area. The controller controls the light source device based on a variation in electrostatic capacitance detected by the input detector to turn on or off at least the second indicator.

The graphics controller controls output of video signals and audio signals from the connector. The management controller inputs/outputs the various commands via the connector. The power supply control module supplies power for operation to both of the graphics controller and the management controller during a power-off state, and supplies power for operation only to the management controller in a power-on state. Both of the graphics controller and the management controller include a function of acquiring identification information of the connection destination by means of the signal line. And, the management controller deactivates the function of acquiring identification information of the connection destination by means of the signal line during a power-on state.
