    Abstract: Conductor segments that form a coil in a stator are formed by rectangular wires and are disposed in slots such that wide first faces are parallel to the radial direction. A plurality of conductor segments are disposed in the slots so that narrow second faces are opposite each other. The conductor segment disposed at the i-th (where i is an integer greater than or equal to 1) position from the inside of a stator core is joined to the conductor segment disposed in the (i+1)-th position in another slot such that vertical parts and horizontal parts thereof are opposite each other.
