  • Publication number: 20170094106
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a first connection portion, a second connection portion, a communication processing portion, a switch processing portion, and a connection determination processing portion. To the switch processing portion, the first connection portion and the second connection portion are connected in parallel. The switch processing portion breaks a communication path between the second connection portion and the switch processing portion when the facsimile communication process is executed by the communication processing portion. The connection determination processing portion, when a predetermined determination start condition is satisfied, causes the switch processing portion to break the communication path, and then when a predetermined line voltage is applied to the switch processing portion, determines that a connection between the first connection portion and the public switched telephone network is normal.

  • Publication number: 20170094189
Abstract: An electronic apparatus, an imaging method, and a non-transitory computer readable recording medium are disclosed. A first camera images a first imaging range. A second camera images a second imaging range having an angle wider than an angle of the first imaging range. At least one processor detects, based on an image signal from the second camera, a mobile object located in a partial area outside the first imaging range in the second imaging range. The at least one processor estimates at least one of a first timing at which a position of the mobile object coincides with a predetermined position within the first imaging range and a second timing at which the mobile object enters into the first imaging range.

  • Publication number: 20160147282
Abstract: A terminal device including a touchpad and at least one processor is provided. The touchpad includes a reception module configured to, when the operating state is a normal mode, receive a touch on a first region in a detection region of the touchpad, and when the operating state is a power saving mode, only receive a touch on a second region which is a partial region of the first region. The at least one processor is configured to, when the operating state is the power saving mode, transfer the operating state from the power saving mode to the normal mode in response to receiving the touch on the second region by the touchpad when the operating state is the power saving mode.

  • Patent number: 9307099
Abstract: A multifunctional machine includes a facsimile communication portion and a control portion that makes the facsimile communication portion transfer facsimile data to a reception-side facsimile machine. When the facsimile communication portion starts to perform communication for data transfer with the reception-side facsimile machine, the facsimile communication portion receives, from the reception-side facsimile machine, a reception allowance/rejection signal in conformity with a facsimile communication protocol. When the control portion indicates the reception allowance of the transfer of the reception allowance/rejection signal, the facsimile communication portion is made to transfer the facsimile data to the reception-side facsimile machine.

  • Patent number: 9258450
Abstract: Provided is a facsimile apparatus that prevents a transmission forgetfulness of a regular transmission. Every time a FAX is transmitted, a transmission history is accumulated in a transmission history table. A regular transmission detecting part refers to the transmission history table for every time zone corresponding to the check interval memorized in a setting table. Thereby, the regular transmission detecting part detects whether or not the regular transmission was carried out in the past. If the regular transmission is carried out, the transmission judging part refers to the transmission history table. The transmission judging part judges whether or not the regular transmission was carried out in the time zone for today. If judged the transmission being not carried out, an informing part reports that the regular transmission is not carried out to the mail address corresponding to the report destination memorized in the setting table.

  • Publication number: 20150364073
Abstract: A portable terminal includes a display, a display processing module that can perform display processing of causing the display to display an image such that an image in a scroll target area which is at least a portion of an image display area on the display is scrolled, a calculation module that can perform calculation processing of calculating a scroll speed of the image in the scroll target area, and a brightness adjustment module that can adjust a brightness of an image displayed on the display such that, with respect to the brightness of an image displayed on the display when the scroll speed calculated by the calculation module is a first speed, the brightness of an image displayed on the display when the scroll speed calculated by the calculation module is a second speed becomes darker, the second speed being faster than the first speed.

  • Patent number: 9041983
Abstract: A facsimile device includes a main control unit and a sub-control unit. The first main control unit is configured to count a number of rings in a call signal sent from a public-line network and to put the facsimile device off-hook when the count value reaches a preset specified number of rings in the normal mode, and to suspend the count and off-hook functions in the energy-saving mode. The sub-control unit is configured to detect an incoming call signal and cause the main control unit to recover. The main control unit is configured to: calculate the number of rings in an incoming call signal in an elapsed time required from when the sub-control unit detects the incoming call signal until the main control unit recovers to the normal mode; and use the calculated number of rings to count the number of rings in an incoming call signal.
