    Abstract: A system for detecting the distribution of flow velocity is used in combination with an air jet loom of the type wherein auxiliary nozzles eject air into an air guide channel formed on the front side of a reed. The system consists of a carrier engageable with a rail disposed parallel with the reed and movable along the rail. The carrier carries a flow velocity detector whose flow velocity sensing section is located in the air guide channel, thereby effectively detecting the distribution of flow velocity of air stream throughout whole the air guide channel.
