  • Patent number: 8306093
Abstract: An apparatus and method for short multipath mitigation. In one aspect the method comprises subtracting a first stronger path from a correlation function to obtain a first residual signal, wherein one component of the first residual signal is a weaker path; applying reconstruction on the first residual signal to obtain a first reconstructed weaker path; subtracting the first reconstructed weaker path from the correlation function to obtain a second residual signal; and applying reconstruction on the second residual signal to obtain a second stronger path. In one aspect, the apparatus includes an antenna for receiving a composite receive RF signal, a receiver front-end for converting the composite receive RF signal into a composite receive digital signal; and a processor for performing signal correlation on the composite receive digital signal to obtain a correlation function and for processing the correlation function to obtain a desired signal.

  • Publication number: 20120183631
Abstract: An ingredient extracted from Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn (0.00002%˜1% (w/w)) and its anti-acne formula for a purpose of anti-acne; the method to manufacture the ingredient is Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn with deionized or distilled water added is ground to develop a Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn solution and further filtered to become a Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn extract which is deposited in a low-temperature and dry environment (temperature between ?20° C. and ?48° C.; pressure between 10 K Bar and 133 K Bar) for development of an extract with a powdered anti-acne ingredient; additionally, the ingredient with citronella (0.5%˜1.5% (w/w)), compound disinfectant (0.3%˜1% (w/w)), and surfactant (0.5%˜3% (w/w)) added can become a pasty anti-acne formula for long-term storage.

  • Publication number: 20040228270
Abstract: A method of processing an OFDM signal to determine its FFT mode or the number of carriers without regard to the pilot pattern. The OFDM receiver determines autocorrelation functions corresponding to a plurality of possible FFT modes and variation-to-average ratios of these autocorrelation functions, respectively. The correct FFT mode is determined based on the variation-to-average ratios. In addition, a novel time and frequency synchronization scheme is performed after the correct FFT mode is detected.
