  • Patent number: 9122961
Abstract: A mask generating unit generates a show-through area mask in accordance with inverted front printed image data, obtained by inverting front printed image data in a horizontal direction, and back printed image data. Then, a determining unit inspects a show-through area of the back inspecting image data corresponding to the show-through area mask with a show-through inspection threshold. Consequently, an area where the show-through exists with high possibility is inspected with the looser show-through inspection threshold. This achieves suppression of determination error due to the show-through. On the other hand, an area where no show-through exists with high possibility is inspected with a tight normal inspection threshold. This achieves accurate determination of printing error. As a result, accurate printing inspection is obtainable even to web paper with the show-through.

  • Patent number: 8888224
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes two color line cameras and one monochrome line camera and captures a linear imaging area on printing paper. The imaging area is irradiated with illumination light by a line illumination part. When inspecting a printed image, a color image captured with the color line cameras and an original image are compared. An information element image such as a bar code is clipped from a monochrome image captured with the monochrome line camera, and target information indicated by an information element(s) is acquired. In the image reading apparatus, since the color image and the monochrome image are acquired from the same imaging area, it is possible to realize downsizing of the line illumination part and downsizing of the image reading apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5010756
Abstract: A method of and a device for controlling a counter of a rolled material on a multi-high rolling mill with which method and device very accurate shape control can be attained with certainty and in high responsibility. A strip shape of a rolled material in its widthwise direction on the outgoing side of the rolling mill is detected by a strip shape meter, and the detected shape and a strip thickness are synthetically evaluated using a total performance index. Operation amounts for a strip shape controlling actuator and a strip thickness controlling actuator which make the value of the total performance index minimum are always found out, and the actuators are controlled simultaneously in accordance with the operation amounts to control the strip shape of the rolled material. The apparatus comprises a saddle receiver the vertical position of which is controlled by a roll gap controlling device in accordance with an estimated value to change the gap between upper and lower work rolls of the rolling mill.

  • Patent number: 4839005
Abstract: In a method of fabricating an aluminum surface for applying mirror-smooth fabrication to the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy by combining an electrolytic anode dissolving effect to the surface and a polishing effect of removing the protruded portions of passivated films formed on the surface to be fabricated by lapping with abrasive grains, the voltage between the aluminum material and the tool electrode is set within 2.1.+-.0.3 V, an electrolyte at less than 10% concentration is used as a passivation type electrolyte, the urging pressure of the tool electrode to the surface is set to less than 2.0 kgf/cm.sup.2 and free abrasive grains with the average grain size of less than 1.0 .mu.m are used as the abrasive grains. The temperature of the electrolyte is preferably set to lower than 15.degree. C. The polishing material may comprise non-woven abrasive cloth made of ultrafine fibers.
