  • Patent number: 4516234
Abstract: An optical recording system for high recording density has been found for a system which uses a heat-meltable recording medium which is melted by illuminating the same with a laser beam according to the data to be stored. The spacing between adjacent pits on the recording medium is less than the diameter of the laser beam, and then, each pit overlaps partially with the succeeding pit on the recording medium. In spite of the overlap of the pits, the recorded data can be read out by reading only the non-overlapped portion of the bank of a pit. The spacing between the pits is preferably in the range between 1/3 and 1/2 of the diameter of the laser spot so that the recording density is at least two times as high as a prior recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4412231
Abstract: A light recording medium which has a substrate and a recording layer provided thereon and effects recording of information by selective removal or deformation of the recording layer by laser light, which is characterized by that said recording layer contains an organic dye as a light absorber, said dye is a mixed dye obtained by mixing a plurality of dyes having different light absorbing wavelengths from each other and the recording layer has a light absorptivity of 80% or more at all the wavelengths in the range of 400-900 nm in wavelength.

  • Patent number: 4246600
Abstract: A color image pickup system for a color television system comprises a single image pickup device, a color filter mounted in front of the screen of said image pickup device, said color filter having an array of the repetition of a pair of horizontal colored belts or scanning lines, the first scanning line having an arrangement of cells of the three elementary colors, the second scanning line having an arrangement of the complementary elementary colors to those of the first scanning line. Thus, the colors of each pair of cells in the vertical direction of the two scanning lines are complementary. The output of the image pickup device is processed by adding the signals of the first scanning line and the second scanning line for every vertical cell to provide a brightness signal(Y). As a color signal, only the first scanning line is selected and a pair of color cells (red and blue) are sampled.

  • Patent number: 4222084
Abstract: Disclosed is a magnetic head used for a vertical magnetizing system comprising a core having a pair of leg portions and an auxiliary magnetic pole which is arranged so as to face both leg portions. A closed magnetic path is formed by the core and the auxiliary magnetic pole. A sharp edge is formed at each end of the leg portions. A magnetic recording medium passes through the gap between the sharp edges and the auxiliary magnetic pole. When the magnetic recording medium passes through the gap, a high density magnetic recording operation is performed by the magnetic field produced by each sharp edge. Moreover, the recording operation can be effectively carried out due to the closed magnetic path and the recording magnetic field magnetized on the magnetic recording medium can be read out by using the same magnetic head as the magnetic head which is used for the recording operation.

  • Patent number: 4048658
Abstract: A video recording system with a plurality of fixed recording-and/or-playing-back magnetic heads has been disclosed. A video signal with a wide frequency band is converted using an Hadamard conversion circuit, to a plurality of narrow band signals. Each narrow band signal is recorded and played back by each fixed head. The Hadamard conversion circuit is very simple in structure and can be provided with digital switching circuits and adders or integrators.

  • Patent number: 3931705
Abstract: The present invention relates to a counter feed mechanism as used in digital clock comprising a cam member adapted for advanced rotation and another cam member adapted for delayed rotation both arranged on a common axis so that the advanced rotation of the first-mentioned cam member under a drive force transmitted from a clock mechanism twists a coil spring stretched between both cam members, which is, in turn, charged with energy for rotation of the second-mentioned cam member and, upon rotary displacement of the first-mentioned cam member by a predetermined angle, said second cam member is released to be rotated at once so as to advance a rotary wheel step by step.
