  • Patent number: 7355547
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a millimeter wave radar device and module that provides a hollow structure while assuring adequate moisture resistance. A multilayer substrate on which at least one millimeter wave MMIC is mounted and a cap for forming a hollow around the MMIC are joined together with an adhesive or other similar organic member to obtain a high-frequency characteristic. The resulting assembly is housed in a case and covered with a moisture resistance by a gelled organic resin. The nonairtight structure obtained in this manner permits the use of low-cost members and provides increased productivity.

  • Publication number: 20060290564
Abstract: A small, light and low-cost on-vehicle radar which reduces noise caused by a road surface, own car and radar itself, prevents road clutter and improves detection performance is provided. The on-vehicle radar includes an antenna having one or a plurality of radiation elements which radiate linearly polarized waves, a slit plate provided with a plurality of slits on a metal plate disposed in front of this antenna surface and a foamed material provided between the antenna and slit plate. Side lobes whose principal component is a cross polarized wave from a feeder line of the antenna can be reduced and road clutter can be prevented. Resonance of slits whose characteristic frequency becomes equal to or smaller than the frequency of vehicle can be reduced and noise can be suppressed. Therefore, it is possible to obtain excellent detection performance as the radar apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5323635
Abstract: An air fuel ratio detecting arrangement using a diffusion suppressing type air fuel ratio sensor applicable to an air fuel ratio control unit for an internal combustion engine incorporating an atmospheric air pressure correction circuit in a signal processing and outputting device for correcting an output voltage signal processed therein based on a change in atmospheric air pressure which is detected when a predetermined operating condition of an internal combustion engine is satisfied. A secular change correction circuit included in the signal processing and outputting device detects a change in electromotive force of a concentration cell portion of the air fuel ratio sensor when a predetermined rich air fuel ratio is reached and corrects a reference voltage for the air fuel ratio sensor based on the detected change in electromotive force of the concentration cell portion in addition to an air calibration circuit.
