  • Patent number: 8092085
Abstract: A thermistor includes a thermistor body and terminal electrodes disposed at both ends of the thermistor body. A first lead is longer than a second lead. The first and second leads include tips having inclined shapes that are cut such that metal lines are surface-exposed, respectively. The thermistor body is attached at a predetermined side position of the first lead such that the first lead and a side folding portion of the terminal electrode form a predetermined angle ?. The terminal electrode and the first lead are connected to each other through solder, and the second lead and the terminal electrode are connected to each other through solder. This can prevent the occurrence of damage even if an excessive thermal stress is applied. The temperature sensor with leads having stable electric connection with the temperature sensor that has satisfactory detection sensitivity and high reliability is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5459621
Abstract: Method and apparatus for recording a plurality of audio channels on segmented tracks of a tape by rotary heads. The audio channels to be recorded are allocated to recording sectors provided for the individual audio channels on the basis of the relation between the number of the audio channels and the number of the segmented tracks, so that each recording track necessarily includes the individual audio channel recording sectors uniformly distributed in the longitudinal direction of the tape, and the two-dimensional distance between the sectors on which the same audio channel is recorded can be maximized on the tape. Thus, an adverse effect of an error attributable to a dropout and/or a scar formed on the tape can be dispersed, thereby achieving high capability for error correction.

  • Patent number: 5414568
Abstract: A variable speed digital signal reproducing apparatus, particularly related to low speed reproduction of a digital signals recorded in a recording medium. The apparatus includes a unit for determining whether a reproduction PCM signal is renewed or not. Based on the renewal determination, PCM data of one frame is stored in a memory and the PCM data is read at a frequency rate corresponding to a tape reproducing speed at that time. Furthermore an interpolating device operates on the read PCM data to produce a PCM signal having the same frequency with which the PCM signal was read from the memory means.

  • Patent number: 4903148
Abstract: A novel digital signal recording and reproducing apparatus is disclosed in which an audio digital signal is recorded and reproduced alone or together with a video signal in a video tape recorder. If the sampling frequency of the audio signal is not an integral multiple of the vertical synchronous signal of the video signal, the audio signal is divided among fields in accordance with a predetermined regularity, and then the field information for identifying the number of samples of the audio digital signal is added and recorded for each field. At the time of reproduction, the field information is read to identify the number of samples of the audio digital signal, thus picking out only the audio signal excepting the redundant portions.

  • Patent number: 4544962
Abstract: A method is disclosed for processing binary data prior to magnetic recording. The binary data is divided into 4-bit data segments which are converted to 8-bit codes according to a predetermined encoding transfer function describing the relationships between the 4-bit data segments and corresponding 8-bit codes, wherein the bit pattern of each 8-bit code has an intra-code run-length of at least two "0" bits and forms an inter-code run-length of from at least two "0" bits to at most nine "0"bits with an adjacent 8-bit code. The method further includes the step of generating a frame synchronization code and interleaving it with 8-bit codes to form a frame of binary digits. The frame sync code has a bit pattern which is unduplicatable by any combination of 8-bit codes that follow.

  • Patent number: 4375100
Abstract: Source data is organized by a time compression memory (4) into a plurality of successive groups of data words arranged in a pattern of rows and columns with the rows corresponding to respective recording tracks. A plurality of successive groups of parity check words is provided in the same pattern of rows and columns as the data words subsequent to the data word groups. Each parity check word is derived in a parity generator (6) by modulo-2 summations from the data words selected from different data word groups. The data and check words of each row of each respective group are (a) preceded by a synchronization code provided by a sync generator (10) to allow differentiation between data and parity groups, and (b) followed by a cyclic redundancy check, (CRC) code provided by a CRCC generator (9) to allow detection of an error in that data row or check words. The parity check word is used to correct an error specified by the CRC code upon detection of an error.
