    Abstract: There is provided a system for detecting a leak in a piping system, including a monitoring unit disposed at a gateway of the piping system for indicating fluid flow, a gauging unit for gauging the duration of continuous fluid flow, and an indication unit for determining the existence of a leak based on the duration. A method for detecting a leak in a piping system is also provided.
