  • Publication number: 20240148389
Abstract: A clip device for gripping biological tissue of a patient includes a clip having a first arm and second arm closeable by operation of a wire that is reciprocally moveable in a longitudinal channel of a sheath; and a bendable member at a distal end region of the sheath. The bendable member can be an integral portion of the sheath or a separate structure. The bendable member is configured to allow a distal end of a clip to rotate or swing toward a proximal end region of the sheath of the device, which orients the clip relative to the sheath to facilitate grasping of tissue even when the approach of the clip is tangential to the tissue, e.g., at an angle (?) less than 90. The bendable member can be configured to allow a distal end of a clip to rotate or swing toward a proximal end region of a sheath and form an angle of up to at least about 45 degrees, such up to about 60 degrees or up to about 90 degrees, or higher.

  • Publication number: 20230263533
Abstract: A multi-arm clip comprising: a central arm; a pair of outer arms configured to rotatably connect to the central arm; a slide pin configured to move along a longitudinal axis direction of the central arm to open or close the pair of outer arms using an outer arm slot defined by the pair of outer arms; a retention feature provided on either the central arm or each one of the pair of the outer arms, the retention feature configured to maintain a gripping force between the central arm and the pair of outer arms in an adjustable manner; and a force transmitter configured to move the slide pin along the longitudinal axis direction; wherein the pair of outer arms includes an outer arm slot, the outer arm slot configured to make the slide pin movable.

  • Publication number: 20230172442
Abstract: A clip indwelling device includes an insertion portion; a power transmission member; a hollow member in which an insertion passage is formed; an arm member which includes a first and a second arms inserted into the insertion passage to protrude from a distal end of the hollow member, is connected to the power transmission member, and is constituted to switch between an open state and a closed state due to advance-retract movement of the power transmission member, and an adjustment mechanism which disposes the first and the second arms such that protrusion lengths of the first and the second arms in an axial direction with respect to the hollow member become equivalent to each other in the open state and disposes the first and the second arms such that the protrusion lengths thereof in the axial direction with respect to the hollow member differ from each other in the closed state.

  • Publication number: 20230149017
Abstract: An endoscopic suturing method includes penetrating an indwelling member into a first portion of a mucous membrane, moving the indwelling member toward a second portion of the mucous membrane while pushing the first portion of the mucous membrane and penetrating the indwelling member into the second portion of the mucous membrane with the indwelling member penetrated into the first portion of the mucous membrane, and leaving the indwelling member in a body in a state in which the indwelling member penetrates the first portion of the mucous membrane and the second portion of the mucous membrane.

  • Publication number: 20220361735
Abstract: Treatment device with clip is reciprocally closed and opened in one operation and locked in a second, distinct operation. The clip has a first arm and second arm which are configured to move in a direction toward and away from each other to close and open the clip; a wire connected to a proximal end of the clip configured to reciprocally move within a sheath to close and open the clip; and one or more latch elements on the clip configured to lock the clip in a closed state. Operating the wire does not lock the clip in a closed state in a single operation. Rather, the clip can be locked by another operation that is distinct from operating the wire for reciprocal movement, such as operating a stopper, an inner sheath reciprocally movable to slid over the clip arms, or a locking ring slidable over the clip arms.

  • Publication number: 20220265274
Abstract: A clip device includes a sheath having a lumen with at least one open end and a plurality of clip arms movable between a first configuration in which the plurality of clip arms are opened to receive a target tissue, and a second configuration in which the plurality of clip arms are closed to grip the target tissue. Locking mechanisms respectively provided on the plurality of clip arms engage one another for maintaining the second configuration. A restraining mechanism is optionally configured to be associated with the locking mechanisms to prevent the target tissue from being pinched between the locking mechanisms.

  • Publication number: 20220117604
Abstract: A clip for gripping tissue can having a first arm with a first claw at a distal end of the first arm, and second arm, with a second claw at a distal end of the second arm, in which the first arm and second arm are configured to move in a direction toward each other to close the clip. The clips include one or more anchors on the arms of the clip which protrude in a direction other than the direction that the first arm and second arm are configured to move toward each other to close the clip. Such anchors can more readily attach to tissue of a patient upon contact than clips without an anchor.
