  • Patent number: 4457111
Abstract: A sealing structure for a movable window allows a movable windowpane to lie flush with the outside of the window sill frame. The vertical edges of the windowpane are provided with projecting guides which have a runner lying somewhat offset from the plane of the rest of the pane. The guide runners are supported by elastic seals such that the pane lies flush with the outer surface of the window sill frame. A vibration damper in the shape of an inverted "V" may be provided at the top of the window sill frame in order to guide the top edge of the pane into place and to prevent the pane from vibrating excessively.

  • Patent number: 4329816
Abstract: Guide apparatus for guiding the movement of a vehicle window pane comprises a regulator mechanism for raising and lowering the window pane and a guide mechanism for regulating the locus of movement thereof. The regulator mechanism consists of X-shaped crossing movable arms, the upper ends of which slide along a horizontal guide channel secured on the window pane, and the lower ends of which slide along another horizontal guide channel secured on an inner panel of a door. The arms are driven by a handle. The guide mechanism includes a tubular guide track, a bottom of which is pivoted on the door inner panel. The guide track slides vertically through a single guide member secured on the window pane. Accordingly, the inclination of the window pane is always held unchangeable, so that it is very easy and simple to adjust the securing position of the guide member secured thereon in the horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 4321771
Abstract: An apparatus for guiding a lifting or lowering movement of a vehicle window glass (2) has a generally vertical elongate guide track member (3). A hollow lower end (3b) of the guide track member (3) is connected to a panel (P) secured to the vehicle body or a door (D) by a mounting member (10) of one-piece structure. The mounting member is integrally provided with a crosspiece (10d) which formes a bayonet connection with the panel (P), a projection (10b) which is press-fitted into the hollow lower end (3b) of the guide track member (3), and a seal lip (10f) which seals a bore (P.sub.2) of the panel (P) through which the crosspiece is passed.
