  • Patent number: 9418461
Abstract: Disclosed is a character string placement device including an evaluation function calculator that calculates a plurality of evaluation function values, each of which shows an evaluation of placement of a character string placed at each of a plurality of candidate points on a node series; and a minimum evaluation function value storer that determines at which of the plurality of candidate points to place the character string on a basis of comparison between the plurality of evaluation function values calculated by the evaluation function calculator. The evaluation function calculator includes: a character gap function calculator that calculates a character gap function value; an angle function calculator that calculates an angle function value; and an evaluation function value calculator that calculates the evaluation function value of the character string placed at each of the plurality of candidate points based on the character gap function value and the angle function value.

  • Publication number: 20160042722
Abstract: A dynamic label arrangement device includes a label DB to store a set of labels, a display information DB to store information required for display of labels, a position calculator to specify a label to be displayed on a display screen from among the labels stored in the label DB, and a label display to display the label specified by the position calculator, and the position calculator determines an arrangeable range in which labels can be arranged on the basis of an arrangement change range offset stored in the display information DB, and, when the range of the display screen is changed, performs an arrangement change on a label which has become displaced outside the arrangeable range and which is stored in the above-mentioned label DB.

  • Publication number: 20150325045
Abstract: A map drawing device includes a map data acquirer that acquires map data, a parcel aspect ratio calculator that calculates an aspect ratio of parcels which can minimize the difference between a map in a case of drawing a spherical object from an arbitrary eyepoint on the basis of the map data acquired by the map data acquirer, and a planar map, a polygon generator that generates a polygon for drawing an intermediate map between an earth object and a planar map on the basis of the aspect ratio of parcels which is calculated by the parcel aspect ratio calculator, and a drawer that draws the intermediate map on the basis of the polygon generated by the polygon generator.

  • Publication number: 20150302612
Abstract: An image-rendering device: divides a large region whose minimum configuration unit is an element into small regions each configured with the elements; calculates low resolution distance data showing a distance from a base line serving as a reference for color change in gradation for each of the small regions; associates low resolution distance data showing each distance from the base line for each of the small regions with high resolution distance data showing each distance from the base line to each of the elements, and stores them in high resolution data storage; obtains, from the high resolution data storage, the high resolution distance data associated with the calculated low resolution distance data; and renders gradation on the basis of the high resolution distance data. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the number of times for calculating a minimum distance between the base line and each pixel.

  • Publication number: 20150235392
Abstract: A node acquisition unit 11 receives as its input, polygon groups which have a plurality of levels of detail represented in a tree structure and render a model at the plurality of levels of detail, and texture image groups properly assigned to the polygon groups, respectively, and determines nodes corresponding to the texture image groups to be merged. A texture atlas generating unit 12 generates a texture atlas group by merging the texture image groups using information about the nodes the node acquisition unit 11 generates, and converts the texture coordinates of the vertices of the polygon groups while relating the texture coordinates to a drawing position.

  • Publication number: 20140375638
Abstract: A hidden model determinator that compares a coordinate value in a depth direction which is acquired by performing a coordinate transformation on each of a first determination target point and a second determination target point which are selected from model data about a facility model with that in the depth direction of model data about a topographical model, which is stored in a Z value buffer, to determine whether or not the facility model is hidden behind the topographical model, and a facility addition processing unit that stores model data about a facility model which the hidden model determinator determines is not hidden behind the topographical model.

  • Publication number: 20140125706
Abstract: In the present invention, an input assembly unit (1) receives vertex information used before and after geomorphing and index information as input, and uses the index information to output vertex information used before and after the geomorphing of each polygon. A polygon processing unit (3) interpolates vertex information that has been processed at a vertex processing unit (2) in accordance with the time in order to perform output for each polygon. A rasterizing unit (4) detects pixels included in each polygon output by the polygon processing unit (3) within the output image in order to output pixel information in which the vertex information for the polygon has been interpolated in accordance with the position of each pixel. A pixel processing unit (5) determines the color of each pixel of the corresponding output image using the pixel information.
