  • Patent number: 6905752
Abstract: Disclosed is a tape for polishing the surface of a substrate of a magnetic recording medium, and a thin-fineness filament obtained by dissolving a dissolving component of a dissolution-decomposition type composite yarn consisting of a nylon component and the dissolving component is used as piles of a flocked cloth, warps of a fabric, and webs of a nonwoven fabric. The polishing tape of the present invention can noticeably improve the surface roughness of the polished substrate.

  • Publication number: 20040087231
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fiber complex where conductive composite fibers having a conductive thermoplastic component and a fiber forming component are mixed, characterized in that the conductive composite fiber is composed of a thermoplastic polymer containing carbon black and has a specific resistance of 106 &OHgr; cm or less, and the conductive thermoplastic component covers 50% or more of the fiber surface and has a structure continuous in the long axis direction of fiber, and working wears, filters and shoe insoles using the fiber complex.

  • Patent number: 6244173
Abstract: A mesh cloth, which does not bring about clogging and has uniform openings throughout the whole surface, and a screen-formed plated article, which can be stably used as a printing screen and a cylinder for rotary printing, and is useful as an electromagnetic wave shielding material and a shadow mask. The mesh cloth is produced by using a core-sheath composite filament using a sheath comprising a component having a lower melting point than a core. A metal plating is applied on the mesh cloth, in which the core threads of the crossing threads at the point of intersection of the crossing threads are adhered to each other by melting the sheath component, the surface thereof is uniformly covered with the sheath component of the crossing threads, and the thickness of the cloth at the point of intersection is from 85 to 60% of the total thickness of the diameters of the crossing threads.

  • Patent number: 6099962
Abstract: A core-sheath composite yarn characterized in that a softening point of a core component as measured by thermomechanical analysis of JIS K 7196 is at least 20.degree. C. lower than a softening point of a sheath component, and the core component is formed of a substantially amorphous polymer that does not provide a melting point peak as measured by differential thermal analysis of conducting heating in a nitrogen atmosphere at a rate of temperature rise of 10.degree. C./min, and a fabric obtained by using such a composite yarn. This fabric has an excellent shape stability and an excellent water resistance by heat-setting.
