  • Patent number: 8660227
Abstract: A radio communication system has a transmitter and a receiver that transmits and receives, respectively, synchronization signals. The transmitter has a multiple-synchronization-signal generation section configured to generate the synchronization signals, a radio circuit configured to transmit the synchronization signals in a predetermined transmission cycle from a start time of the predetermined transmission cycle and with an interval shorter than the predetermined transmission cycle, and a synchronization signal sequence number generation section configured to assign a sequence number to each of the synchronization signals.

  • Patent number: 8558657
Abstract: A communication system has a server, base station devices, and terminal devices. The server notifies each base station device of a transmission order of a synchronization signal and of the base station device that is designated as a reference. Each one of the base station devices transmits a synchronization signal to the corresponding terminal device based on the transmission order in a case where the one base station device has been designated as the reference. In the case where the one base station device has not been designated as the reference, the one base station device transmits the synchronization signal to the corresponding terminal device at a timing calculated based on a reception timing by the corresponding terminal device of a synchronization signal received from the reference base station device, a transmission order of the reference base station device, and the transmission order of the one base station device.

  • Publication number: 20130151153
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for testing soil by means of biological methods using microorganisms that inhabit the soil to be tested. In addition, the authenticity of the production region of an agricultural product is determined from the soil adhered thereto. Specifically disclosed is a method for measuring the crop cultivation frequency of soil, which comprises a sample generation step for generating a suspension of soil to be measured as a micro-organism sample; a dropping step for dropping the suspension, which is the generated microorganism sample, into a plurality of nutrient sources in which the consumption rates of at least a portion thereof differ depending on the microorganism species; and an observation step for observing the cumulative consumption rate of each nutrient source by the microorganisms after dropping. In addition, the authenticity of the production region label is assessed by comparing the soil adhered to the agricultural product to soil from the production region on the label.

  • Publication number: 20110207501
Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication system capable of reducing processing loads imposed on a base station device and a server that sets a timing of a synchronization signal for the base station device. A management server (3) provides notification of a transmission order of the synchronization signal to each of a plurality of base station devices (1).

  • Publication number: 20110182371
Abstract: Provided are a radio communication system, a receiver, and a transmitter, which are capable of reducing an operation time period of a reception circuit of the receiver and achieving reduction in power consumption even if there is a clock error between the transmitter and the receiver. In a case of a conventional method illustrated in FIG. 1(A), the receiver is operated earlier by a time period (Tm), to thereby achieve synchronization before the clock error of the receiver exceeds the time period (Tm). This requires an extended reception time period for achieving clock synchronization, which therefore prevents the receiver from reducing its power consumption. In view of this, according to the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 1(B), a synchronization signal is continuously transmitted from the transmitter a plurality of times in a short period of time, and the receiver receives only one of the continuously-transmitted synchronization signals.
