  • Publication number: 20090207704
Abstract: A data recording apparatus recording data of a CD on an HDD in a manner such that the content of record in the CD is faithfully accounted for and shortening an operation time for a synchronized ripping operation. When the data recording apparatus reads, from the CD, track data managed by track, according to TOC, and records the track data onto the HDD, the data recording apparatus recognizes data unrecorded on the HDD, from among the track data recorded on the CD. This recognition process is automatically performed based on the TOC read from the CD, and album information replayed using the TOC and held by the HDD. The recording apparatus reproduces and outputs only the unrecorded data from the CD based on the recognition result concerning the unrecorded data. In this way, the data already recorded on the HDD is not transferred from the CD to the HDD. The operation time for the synchronized ripping operation is reduced accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20080172155
Abstract: A powertrain control ECU sets a target driving force, and controls an internal combustion engine and a transmission of a vehicle. A first processor of the powertrain control ECU includes a driving force adjustment portion, a filter, a mode-switch, an environmental information-obtaining device, and a steering sensor. The driving force adjustment portion sets the target driving force based on at least one of instructions from a driver and from a second processor. The filter corrects the target driving force to suppress vibration on a spring of the vehicle. The mode-switch sets the running mode. The environmental information-obtaining device obtains information on the environment around the vehicle. The steering angle sensor determines the running condition. A correction amount, by which the filter corrects the target driving force, is adjusted according to the running mode, the environment, and the running condition.

  • Publication number: 20080051962
Abstract: A controller controls braking force and driving force of a vehicle, in accordance with demand force. The controller includes a first and a second demand force arithmetic units for arithmetically calculating first and second demand force. The first demand force includes a factor inducing vibration in suspended components of the vehicle. The second demand force substantially excludes the factor inducing vibration in suspended components of the vehicle. A vibration damping filter reduces the factor from a waveform of the first demand force, thereby producing post-filter demand force. An arbitration unit compares the post-filter demand force with the second demand force, thereby selecting one of the post-filter demand force and second demand force as final demand force.

  • Publication number: 20070129866
Abstract: In an automobile of the invention, a cornering drag estimator 61 estimates a cornering drag from measurements of steering angle ? and vehicle speed V. A gain multiplier 62 multiplies the estimated cornering drag by a preset gain K to reduce the estimated cornering drag. A phase adjuster 63 adjusts the phase of the rest of the estimated and reduced cornering drag. An implementation system 70 receives the sum of the output of the gain multiplier 62 and the output of the phase adjuster 63 and regulates the throttle opening of an engine according to the received sum. This adjusts the phase and the degree of reduction of the estimated cornering drag. This arrangement of the invention attains the adequate levels of pitching and rolling, which may be caused in the vehicle in the turning state.

  • Publication number: 20070035416
Abstract: In a vehicle control device which performs braking control of a vehicle, a priority setting unit determines, when a possibility that a self-vehicle and another vehicle cross each other at an intersection in front of the self-vehicle is detected, a priority for each of the self-vehicle and the other vehicle with respect to access to the intersection. A braking control unit performs, when the self-vehicle has no priority over the other vehicle with respect to access to the intersection, the braking control of the self-vehicle so that the self-vehicle enters the intersection after the other vehicle passes through the intersection.

  • Publication number: 20070004553
Abstract: A vehicle has a drive control ECU that controls an internal combustion engine or a transmission on the basis of a target drive force. The drive control ECU has a first arbitrator that sets the target drive force on the basis of a driver's request and the like, and filters that have individually different damping characteristics and that correct the target drive force from the first arbitrator so that the vibration of a sprung weight of the vehicle is controlled, as well as a switch that includes a switching portion and a filter setting portion. The filter setting portion determines whether a pitching resonance frequency has changed. If having determined that the pitching resonance frequency has changed, the filter setting portion switches the filter having been used for correcting the target drive force to a filter corresponding to a post-change pitching resonance frequency.

  • Patent number: 7142970
Abstract: In a vehicular brake force control apparatus, an engine brake force Feb is calculated; a road surface friction coefficient ? and a rear wheel degree of grip ?r is calculated; and a threshold value Ke is calculated such that the threshold value Ke increases as the road surface friction coefficient ? becomes smaller. When the rear wheel degree of grip ?r is smaller than the threshold value Ke, it is determined that vehicle behavior of a vehicle is liable to become unstable when the engine brake force Feb acts. In this case, a sum of the engine brake force Feb and a target friction brake force Fbv based upon a steering operation amount of a driver is distributed to each wheel in accordance with a distribution that stabilizes the vehicle behavior of the vehicle. Based on this distribution result, a friction brake force and an output torque of the engine are controlled.

  • Patent number: 7142969
Abstract: In a vehicle behavior control system, a target braking force applied to each wheel of the vehicle is obtained based on a master cylinder pressure so as to be proportional to a vertical load of each wheel. When it is determined that a braking force is applied to the vehicle running on a road with uneven friction coefficient, an excess yaw moment caused by the difference between the target braking force and an actual braking force is calculated. A steering angle is corrected with a correcting steering angle estimated based on the excess yaw moment. A yaw rate difference is calculated as a difference between a normal yaw rate and an actual yaw rate of the vehicle based on the steering angle that has been corrected. It is determined whether the vehicle behavior is deteriorated based on the yaw rate difference. The vehicle behavior is then controlled to reduce the yaw rate difference.

  • Patent number: 7058493
Abstract: A vehicular motion control apparatus uses a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor capable of detecting an absolute rotational angle. This control apparatus has a yaw rate sensor. If a reference rotational position of the steering angle sensor has not been determined, the control apparatus calculates a plurality of target yaw rates on the basis of a plurality of steering angles estimated from a steering angle detected by the steering angle sensor, and controls motion of a vehicle on the basis of the minimum one of differences between the target yaw rates and an actual yaw rate. The control apparatus determines a reference rotational position of the steering angle sensor on the basis of a steering angle corresponding to the minimum one of the differences, and then calculates a steering angle for motion control on the basis of the detected steering angle and the determined reference rotational position.

  • Patent number: 6898966
Abstract: A SAT estimating portion supplies a grip degree estimating portion with the estimated SAT value. A summing device sums a front wheel slip angle on which high pass filter processing has been performed and a front wheel slip angle on which low pass filter processing has been performed so as to obtain an integrated slip angle. A grip degree estimating portion estimates a grip degree of a tire, by calculating a SAT reference value which is based on the integrated slip angle, and calculating a ratio between the SAT reference value and the estimated SAT value. A road surface ? value estimating portion estimates a road surface ? value when the grip degree becomes equal to or lower than a reference value.
