  • Patent number: 10965978
Abstract: A recording device includes a tuner, a memory, and a controller. The tuner receives broadcast programs. The memory records the broadcast programs via a plurality of recording paths between the tuner and the memory. The controller uses at least two of the recording paths to record a plurality of consecutive broadcast programs on a predetermined channel in the memory. An output of the tuner is inputted to the at least two of the recording paths.

  • Patent number: 7949897
Abstract: A predetermined power failure recovery process is carried out when power failure recovery data is determined to be present in a flash ROM when a power supply is turned on after a power failure. However, when a tray opening and closing key is pressed before completion of this power failure recovery process, it is determined that a power failure recovery process interruption request is received, and the power failure recovery process interruption request is displayed at a power failure recovery selection screen. When interruption of the power failure recovery process is selected on the power failure recovery selection screen, it is determined whether or not reading of predetermined units of data relating to the power failure recovery process from the optical disc 1 is complete. A power failure recovery interruption process is then carried out after completion. A tray is then automatically opened when the power failure recovery interruption process is complete.

  • Patent number: 7869695
Abstract: To improve operability of figure key input in a title search, a chapter search, a track search, and a time search mode in an optical disc apparatus, for example, the quantity number of titles and the quantity number of digits thereof are detected from an optical disc. When a figure for title search is inputted, if this figure exceeds a figure included in the ten's digit of the quantity number of titles, this figure is considered as a figure in the one's digit for search. If the figure for search is equal to or smaller than the figure in the ten's digit of the quantity number of titles, the figure inputted for search is registered as a figure in the ten's digit. Subsequently, if the figure for search is smaller than the figure in the ten's digit of the quantity number of titles, a figure in the one's digit for search within a range from 0 to 9 is inputted and registered.

  • Publication number: 20070147771
Abstract: A recording and reproducing apparatus is operable to set a programmed recording of a television program. A recording date setting section sets a recording date of the programmed recording to a date of a day on which the programmed recording is set when the programmed recording is commanded. A recording start time setting section sets a recording start time based on the current time. A recording time input section inputs recording time of the programmed recording. A recording ending time setting section sets a recording ending time of the programmed recording to a time obtained by adding the recording time input by the recording time input section to the recording start time. A recording channel setting section sets the recording channel of the programmed recording to a channel which is currently received. A recording data compression ratio setting section sets the recording data compression ratio of the programmed recording.
