Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition for an optical material is provided. The thermoplastic resin composition contains a compounding agent represented by general formula (1). (In general formula (1), R1 to R5 independently represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms in total which may have a substituent; R6 to R9 independently represent a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms in total which may have a substituent; and R10 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl group having 1 to carbon atoms in total.

Abstract: Provided is a polycarbonate resin which maintains favorable properties as an optical material while having fluidity suitable for molding. Furthermore, provided are an optical lens and an optical film that use the polycarbonate resin. The polycarbonate resin is characterized by comprising a component unit (A) expressed by general formula (1) and a component unit (B) expressed by general formula (2).
