Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to receive, from a first device, a first identifier identifying the first device, the first device having a function of performing wireless communication, determine which of a first connection scheme and a second connection scheme is employed for the wireless communication based on the first identifier, the second connection scheme performing a connection after execution of selection processing in which the processor determines whether or not the wireless communication is started between the first device and the wireless communication device, and the first connection scheme performing the connection without the execution of the selection processing, and perform the connection between the wireless communication device and the first device using one of the first connection scheme and the second connection scheme in accordance with a result of a determination.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus has a short-distance wireless communication unit which communicates with external equipment, an input unit, a timer, and a control unit. The input unit generates a press event in response to depression of the input unit and a release event in response to release the input unit from the depression. The timer measures an elapsed time. The control unit starts the timer in response to reception of the press event, transmits a press command or a release command to the external equipment in response to the reception of the press event or the release event, and transmits the release command to the external equipment when the control unit detects that the elapsed time reaches a specific time and no event is received from the input unit.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a wireless communication apparatus includes: a first communication module configured to communicate with a counterpart apparatus; a plurality of other communication modules configured to take over a communication with the counterpart apparatus from the first communication module; a power state storage module configured to store power states of the plurality of other communication modules; and a controller configured to confirm the power states when one of the plurality of other communication modules takes over the communication from the first communication module. The controller is configured to transmit, to the counterpart apparatus through the first communication module, a request for taking over the communication to the one of the plurality of other communication modules if the power state of the one of the plurality of other communication modules is ON.
