  • Patent number: 6049149
Abstract: A brushless DC motor includes opposed pairs of axial magnetic field type permanent-magnets. Two opposed stators are axially arranged at two opposite sides of a rotor, each and stator includes a plurality of equiangularly spaced electromagnetic zones and in least one winding at each electromagnetic zone. A control system is provided to detect phase angle and the revolving speed of the rotor through a sensor and to control the connection of DC current to each winding and its direction, enabling the windings in the electromagnetic zones to form with the rotor at least one motor. By means of detecting speed change of the rotor through the sensor, the control system controls the opposed pairs of axial magnetic field type permanent-magnet brushless DC motor to operate under different motor operation combinations and to output different torques.

  • Patent number: 6011337
Abstract: A double-sided, non-iron core, brushless, axial magnetic field permanent-magnet type DC motor includes a shaft, two electromagnet units parallelly mounted on the shaft, and a permanent magnet unit mounted on the shaft between the electromagnet units and having its direction of magnetization disposed in parallel to the shaft. The permanent magnet unit is allowed to rotate relatively around the electromagnet units by being forced by magnetic repulsion force from both sides. Electromagnetic areas at the electromagnet units are arranged in a staggered manner, enabling permanent steel magnets at the permanent magnet unit to be alternatively fully induced from its two opposite sides to provide a high torsion output. The electromagnetic areas of the two electromagnet units are caused to change the phase alternatively at a 90.degree. phase difference, so that vibration and dead section problems are eliminated during the operation of the DC motor.

  • Patent number: 6007447
Abstract: A transmission unit includes a main gear and driving power is transmitted to the main gear through a first driving unit, then further transmitted to an inner ring gear through a planetary gear. The power of the inner ring gear is transmitted to a driving element for driving a wheel through an unidirectionally second driving unit. The driving element may rotate independently, while the inner ring gear and the planetary gear will not be driven by the driving element.

  • Patent number: 5326057
Abstract: An apparatus (10) and method for displaying two decorative items as a unit involves a U-shaped bracket (12) having a front arm (22) and a rear arm (24) interconnected at a base (26) with a middle attaching device (27, 27', 18, 20) at the base for mounting a pleated fan (54) between the arms and a pocket (50) attached to the second item (52), which can be a doll (52), which pocket is sized to snugly receive the front arm. In a preferred embodiment, there is further included an additional elastic band (16) adjacent a mouth (58) of the pocket on the second item which cooperates with edge notches (32, 34) in the front arm to ensure that the second item does not inadvertently fall off of the arm. In a preferred embodiment, the rear arm includes a device (48) for attaching the apparatus to a wall and the U-shaped bracket includes a means for supporting itself on a horizontal surface, with the two arms being vertically oriented.
