  • Patent number: 10047219
Abstract: Provided is a polyolefin-based resin composition capable of obtaining a molded product having a high modulus of elongation and a low coefficient of linear expansion. The polyolefin-based resin composition includes a polyolefin-based resin containing either one or both of an acid-modified polyolefin-based resin and a polyolefin-based resin with a hydroxyl group, and flaked graphite. The flaked graphite is uniformly dispersed in the polyolefin-based resin. As a result, a molded product formed by using the polyolefin-based resin composition has excellent mechanical strength such as a high modulus of elongation, a low coefficient of linear expansion, and high dimensional stability, and can be used for various applications such as a material that is suitable for use as the exterior panels of automobiles or a steel sheet replacement material.

  • Patent number: 9884934
Abstract: Provided is a production method which can attain exfoliating treatment of graphite and a process of grafting a polymer onto exfoliated graphite simultaneously and thus makes it possible to easily obtain an exfoliated graphite-polymer composite material in a short time. A method for producing an exfoliated graphite-polymer composite material includes a step of mixing graphite or primary exfoliated graphite, a depolymerizable monomer of which the polymer is decomposed by heating to generate radicals and also to form a monomer or an oligomer, or the polymer A of the monomer, or a polymer B which forms radicals at a temperature close to its decomposition temperature to obtain a mixture; and a heating step of putting the mixture in a non-open container to heat the mixture to a first temperature range from the ceiling temperature or higher to the onset decomposition temperature or lower, or to a temperature higher than the first temperature range.

Abstract: Provided is a polyolefin-based resin composition capable of obtaining a molded product having a high modulus of elongation and a low coefficient of linear expansion. The polyolefin-based resin composition includes a polyolefin-based resin, flaked graphite, and either one or both of a compound with a six-membered ring structure and a compound with a five-membered ring structure. The flaked graphite is uniformly dispersed in the polyolefin-based resin. Thus, a molded product formed using the polyolefin-based resin composition has excellent mechanical strength such as a high modulus of elongation, a low coefficient of linear expansion, and high dimensional stability, and can be used for various applications such as a material that is suitable for use as the exterior panels of automobiles or a sheet metal replacement material.
