Abstract: A garment hanger includes a hook portion, a neck portion connected to a base end of the hook portion, a pair of shoulder-supporting portions molded integrally with the neck portion and extend from both sides of the neck portion, a shoulder pad connected to each of the shoulder-supporting portions via a hinge portion, and an engaging leg portion and a locking portion to hold the shoulder pad in a folded state so that the shoulder pad covers each of the shoulder-supporting portions. By providing the shoulder pad to be connected to the shoulder-supporting portion via the hinge portion, the shoulder pad, which has the function of preventing shoulders of a garment from being deformed, is integrated. The shoulder pad can be assembled through a one-touch operation by simply folding the shoulder pad at the hinge portion and engaging the shoulder pad with the shoulder-supporting portion.

Abstract: A low-cost garment hanger with a function of preventing shoulders of a garment from being deformed, which can be assembled through a one-touch operation and does not occupy much space in transit is provided. Abstract: A process for preparing, on an industrial scale, 4-halo-5-(hydroxymethyl) imidazole compounds that are useful as intermediates for medicines. A 4-chloro-5-(hydroxymethyl) imidazole compound, a 4-bromo-5-(hydroxymethyl) imidazole compound or a like compound is synthesized by reacting a 4,5-bis(hydroxymethyl) imidazole compound with a halogenating agent such as an N-chlorosuccinimide, an N-bromosuccinimide, a chlorinated isocyanuric acid compound or the like compound.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a 1-benzylimidazole compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.2 represents a lower alkyl group or phenyl group, and R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group,which comprises heating and to react a 1-unsubstituted imidazole compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 are as defined above, with benzyl alcohol in the presence of a carboxylic acid, a carboxylic anhydride, a benzyl ester thereof or a lower alkyl ester thereof, and neutralizing the reaction product with an alkali.

Abstract: A clip hanger for suspending trousers or skirts especially used in laundries. The clip hanger comprises an inverse V-shaped clip body having two resilient clamp arms, a resilient hook mounted on an upper hook mounting base of the clip body and a resilient loop which is disposed around the clamp arms so as to narrow an acute angle of the clamp arms when in used. With the simple narrowing operation, a desired clamping force is exerted between the clamping ends of the clamp arms without necessitating a metal spring means which a conventional clip hanger requires for clamping purposes.
