    Abstract: A semiconductor device and method of fabricating a semiconductor device involves formation of a trench above a fin (e.g. a fin of a FinFET device) of the semiconductor device and formation of a multi-layer dielectric structure within the trench. The profile of the multi-layer dielectric structure can be controlled depending on the application to reduce shadowing effects and reduce cut failure risk, among other possible benefits. The multi-layer dielectric structure can include two layers, three layers, or any number of layers and can have a stepped profile, a linear profile, or any other type of profile.

An exemplary method includes receiving an integrated circuit (IC) device structure that includes a substrate, one or more fins disposed over the substrate, a plurality of gate structures disposed over the fins, a dielectric layer disposed between and adjacent to the gate structures, and a patterning layer disposed over the gate structures. The gate structures traverses the fins and includes first and second gate structures. The method further includes: forming an opening in the patterning layer to expose a portion of the first gate structure, a portion of the second gate structure, and a portion of the dielectric layer; and removing the exposed portion of the first gate structure, the exposed portion of the second gate structure, and the exposed portion of the dielectric layer.

    Abstract: An exercise bike and an operation method thereof are provided. In a test mode, a processing unit adjusts a resistance of a pedaling activity to be a plurality of pedaling resistances and obtains a plurality of psychological values respectively corresponding to the pedaling resistances by inquiring the user about a rate of perceived exertion. The processing unit calculates the psychological values to obtain a plurality of exercise intensities respectively corresponding to the pedaling resistances and further obtain a correspondence relationship between the exercise intensities and the pedaling resistances. After the test mode ends, the processing unit determines a recommended pedaling resistance according to the correspondence relationship. In a sport mode, the recommended pedaling resistance is provided to the user for performing the pedaling activity.

    Abstract: A key generation device generates an initial secret key, and a time update key at regular intervals, and transmits the initial secret key and the time update key to a terminal device. The terminal device utilizes the initial secret key, the time update key, and a private key generated by the terminal device itself to form a key group. The key group and a public key generated by the terminal device are used as a key pair to encrypt and decrypt data, give a digital signature, and verify digital signatures. The time update key includes a time period, and after the time period expires the time update key cannot be used by the terminal device to generate the key group. A data signature and encryption method is also provided.
