  • Publication number: 20240078383
Abstract: A storage device stores failures and lessons. A processor accepts input of text serving as a question sentence in a multiple-choice quiz, computes an evaluation value for a consistency between the text and each of lessons stored in the storage device, and determines one lesson to serve as a correct option in the multiple-choice quiz and at least one lesson to serve as an incorrect option in the multiple-choice quiz, based on the evaluation value for each of the plurality of lessons computed in the computing operation.

  • Patent number: 4832365
Abstract: A passive seat belt system includes a timer and a control means. The timer is capable of reaching a time-up state upon an elapsed time of a predetermined interval of time after closure of an associated door and releasing the time-up state upon opening of the door. The control means allows a retractor to lock a webbing after the timer has reached the time-up state.

  • Patent number: 4778200
Abstract: An emergency safety device is provided for an automatic seat belt system. The safety device includes switch means for actuating an electrical drive means so as to bring the webbing to an occupant-releasing position when an associated door is opened while the webbing is at the occupant-restraining position; and means for sensing an emergency, thereby to prevent mechanically the switch means from actuating the electrical drive means and to hold the webbing as is at an occupant-restraining position even if the door should open.

  • Patent number: 4679821
Abstract: A seat belt apparatus for use in a vehicle includes a webbing extending from a retractor upward along a center pillar of the vehicle and after passing through a slot of a through-anchor mounted at the top of the center pillar extends downward to have its forward end connected to an arm pivotally mounted on the vehicle. The seat belt apparatus also includes a manually operable member, such as handle, pedal or knob, which can be operated by the hand or foot of a passenger seated in position inside the vehicle and the manually operable member is operatively connected to the webbing or arm. The manually operable member can be operated between a first and second position and when it is moved from the first to the second position, the webbing is moved from its retracted position to an advanced position where the passenger can grab the webbing with east without taking any uncomfortable posture.

  • Patent number: 4403751
Abstract: A device for locking the webbing for the seat belt of an automotive vehicle is provided with a webbing reel biased in a direction to wind the webbing, a drum on which the webbing is partially wound, a drum base supporting the drum and having an axis of rotation eccentric from the axis of rotation of the drum, and a base supporting the reel and drum base. A fixed plate is provided on the base with a sufficient distance with respect to the drum to permit the webbing to pass therethrough, and a sensing device sensing a sudden shock or acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle is also provided. Means are provided for preventing rotation of the reel and the drum when a sudden shock or acceleration or deceleration has been imparted to the vehicle, and means for rotating the drum base at its eccentric axis of rotation to press the drum into contact with the fixed plate and intensely tighten the webbing therebetween is provided to thereby impede the draw-out of the webbing by the tightening thereof.

  • Patent number: 4290629
Abstract: In a seat belt emergency locking device for retaining a seat belt by inserting into a latch portion a tongue portion connected to the seat belt, which device comprises a base tongue having the tongue portion thereof secured to the seat belt and an auxiliary plate, a retaining device actuable by an inertia device sensing an impact or a sudden acceleration or deceleration exerted on a vehicle and an auxiliary engaging tooth provided on the auxiliary plate are primarily engaged with each other, and subsequently a pallet provided in the latch portion and an engaging tooth provided on the base tongue are secondarily engaged with each other. The primary and secondary engagement actions are operatively associated with each other.

  • Patent number: 4249708
Abstract: An emergency locking mechanism for a seat belt retractor comprises a take-up spool biased in a direction to take up the webbing of a seat belt, means for preventing withdrawal of the webbing from the take-up spool during emergency, a rotatable drum disposed parallel to the spool, a drum support bracket rotatably supporting the drum and rotatable about a center of rotation eccentric from that of the drum, drum rotation preventing means, and a fixed plate disposed in proximity to the drum for holding the webbing between the fixed plate and the drum during sudden impact.

  • Patent number: 4232433
Abstract: A seat belt buckle device having a latch device comprising a base, a latch member pivotally supported on the base and having a latching portion for locking a tongue, the latch member being biased into a tongue locking position, a push button adapted, when operated, to bring the latch member into an unlocking position, and a cover having an inlet port for inserting the tongue therethrough and an opening for operating the push button therethrough. The latch member is pivotally supported on a supporting bed secured to the base. The latch device further comprises means for holding the latch member in its unlocking position when the latch member is brought from its tongue locking position to its unlocking position by the push button, whereby the latch member is held in the unlocking position until the latch member is brought back to its tongue locking position after the tongue is again inserted in the inlet port.
